Having their first outlet at Geylang, they have opened up a new outlet in a long vacated coffee shop along Balestier road.

Large Seafood white Beehoon was pretty affordable at $13. However the gravy was rather salty and lacked seafood flavours. So just imagine Beehoon cooked in a salty soup. I have never went to their first outlet before but this was rather disappointing. Worst is, the eggs weren't even beaten properly, where you can taste the egg white distinctly. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Looking to find cheap and good garb in town? Why not head to Tangs Market! I truly wasn't expecting much for a $4.20 chicken cutlet curry rice.

But look at the generous amount of sides! Egg was fluffy and well fried. Cabbage was soft and sweet. Chicken cutlet was well fried and meaty! And the curry wasn't too spicy, allowing you to shovel non stop into your mouth 🤤

If you want something else, the Char Kway Teow at the Penang store is not bad too. But only order if you see the fat guy cooking 😛

Late night wacky skewers. Like pigs hearts and "head of a dog than the tail of a lion" that turned out to be chicken heads. They have this delicious seasoning that they use to marinate all their items for grilling. It is definitely worth a try and enjoy all the wacky variety! #burpplesglatenights

3 for $4.20. Custard baos that are not overly custardy but has a slight salted egg taste. And definitely flowy enough. Opened for 24 hours, you can have dim sum any time of the day! #burpplesglatenights

I always rmbed seeing the adverts on TV as a kid and would always be tempted to go. 🍴
Anyway now in 2017, it has maintained its traditional tea house charms and still add on new dishes to keep up with the modern taste.

1. Black grouper served in hot stone. The black grouper is stir fried with a super aromatic ginger garlic sauce and served in a hot stone. 👍🏻👍🏻
2. Mongolian Pork Ribs w black pepper sauce. Different from your typical black pepper sauce, this is slightly tangy and sweet because of tomato. A bit of a dish that's either you like it or not.
3. XO seafood fried rice. The rice was really well fried where each grain of rice is separated. The slightly spicy note of the xo sauce went so well w the prawns and scallops. 🤤🤤

Yum cha has rolled out a Mother's Day menu that will be available from 1st to 14th May. The $248++ for 6 pax menu includes the ginseng chicken soup (3rd photo of single serving) and salted egg stuffed scallop (last photo). Ginseng chicken soup is super comforting with the tender chicken and slight ginseng taste. While the salted egg stuffed scallop consist of a prawn and scallop enveloped in a fragrant crispy salted egg batter 🤤

Another dish you can add on is the Rose Floret Bun($16.80++/ set of 9). Why give your mom flowers that will die when you can give her pretty & tasty flower baos?? Pink has red bean and signifies gratitude & admiration. The red bean paste has a slight mandarin peel taste while the bao skin has a slight floral taste. Red bean is good for improving the qi and liver function. Purple represents faithfulness and appreciation to your mother's devotion. It contains purple sweet potato paste which is the healthiest of all sweet potatoes! 💪🏻🍠 It is high in antioxidants (to keep cancer at bay), high in vitamin A (for bright eyes), high in dietary fiber (reduce bad cholesterol)...(the list can go on, PM me for clearer explanation 😜😂) White represents gratefulness and it is filled w shredded sweetened coconut. The sweetness of the bao fillings are just nice, which would be suitable for our mothers!(as we all know, our mothers never liked overly sweet food)

I'm glad that quality remains over here. Soft fluffy fried rice w slightly crisp pork cutlet that I'll crave for once in a while 😋

Tender pork collar with shrimp sauce that's not overpowering. Just makes you want more 😋😋

Still one of my favouritest salted egg bao in Singapore. That sweet and salty milky custard that just oozes. ☺️ I love their spinach prawn dumpling as well. Transparent starchy skin filled w Chinese spinach and prawns. Adding that bit of greens to our dim sum brunch. 🌱 #burpple #sundaybrunch #dimsum

I absolutely love orh nee and just had to order it when I saw it on the menu. Super traditional way of making it. Fragrance of yam and lard in the smooth paste. Slightly sweet with ginkgo nuts that are slightly bitter. Yum!
