If you're looking for something new to try this week, I highly recommend the Enchanted Cafe tucked away in Rangoon Road. The ambience, complete with bookcases lined with gold tomes and mismatched furniture, is everything you'd expect in a home away from home. The Sorcerer's Elixir ($9.90) is a fruity non-alcoholic drink that's as tasty as it is a novelty. The Mushroom Aglio Olio is so well spiced that you'll forget it's actually vegetarian!
A* for customer service!

Stopped by Sushiro's little takeaway counter to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised! Although extremely tasty, the thinly sliced beef and runny egg make a nice, not-too-heavy afternoon meal.

Fantastic service and an excellent menu! I truly loved the Lobster Linguine - the pasta was cooked to perfection with a rosé sauce (a mix of red and white pasta sauce) and topped with whole slipper lobsters. A must-try for pasta fanatics!
The retro look of the creamery is the first thing that caught my eye among the numerous cafes along Tanjong Pagar. 5 The Moments (what an odd name - we debated what it meant for quite some time) is a hipster-esque cafe that satisfies even the most hardcore chocolate fanatic. Pictured above is their dark chocolate lava cake with cheesecake gelato. Delish!

A quaint cafe along Simon Rd (Kovan MRT), Lola's Cafe features good coffee and scrumptious desserts. Highly recommended for a light afternoon tea date!
Tucked away in a corner of the Forum shopping mall is The Benjamins - a lovely little cafe that offers a Mexican and Japanese fusion menu. We opted for the Beef Quesadilla and Clam Chowder. The quesadilla in particular was perfectly spiced with tender slices of chunky beef - well-suited for sharing. We were too early to sample their signature milkshakes but they look absolutely AMAZING! Can't wait to head back there again!

Brilliant coffee and pastries (they're generous with the butter - yum! 👅🤤) However, their most reviewed and Instagrammed dish, The Crown Breakfast, was disappointingly cold and bland. Price pp: $25
As tart as it sounds. Extremely fluffy pancake with a cranberry & strawberry topping and maple syrup. The perfect balance of sweet and sour. Price per person: $25
Sunday brunches SHOULD be 'too much' and leave you feeling a little guilty afterwards. Les Patisseries' Truffle Pasta is exactly that - a little over the top and irresistibly cheesy. The sauce has two types of chunky mushrooms, porcini and button. Just when you thought Truffle was so 2016, Les Patisseries will make you think again!
I couldn't resist revisiting One Man this morning. Their Gashouse Eggs were so indulgent that I had to try something else on the list. The French Toast with Berries and Marscopone could easily feed two! The cheese was light and airy and the toast was perfectly dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar. $18pp (including drinks)
Great little restaurant in front of Holland Village MRT! The tea is really an experience - we thoroughly enjoyed the 'timer' and the little bobbing leaves. Food wise, we recommend the mac and cheese and the risotto. Both were creamy and not to be missed.
The staff were a little impatient to leave (to be fair, it was after 11) but let us sit at the tables outside after they closed at 1130.
