We would never have thought that in Marymount area there will be a Thai eatery that serves “Panang” a Thai curry dish (dry version) that is so underrated. We went there around 11.30 am but the place only starts to get filled at 12:30 pm. 🛎

We started off with ‘mango salad’ $7 (not as spicy as we wish but the texture is right on), ‘prawn cake’ ($5 For 2 pcs) just how we like! and the star dish ‘Panang Chicken’$7. While the Panang is not that dry as the name suggested and unlike typical Panang we tried in Thailand, it still tastes pleasant (sweet & creamy with coconut cream).🥥

Don’t forget to try their set menu. We tried their fish tamarind Set $8.80 and the generous crispy onion complements well with tamarind sauce. Every bite is crunchy with sweet & sour tastes! We love that you can switch from white rice to brown rice (+$0.80) and the drink (lime juice) comes for free with the set menu making this a no brained for lunch under $10. 💰

Quick fun fact about this place: they were est. since 1999. The Clover Way outlet was set up in 2006. The owner & their staffs are Thais. They have 4 outlets islandwide with 2 outlets (Dolby X’change & East Coast) (Jai Siam) serving Thai Halal version. Such an awesome hidden gem Thai eatery that make quite an impression!! 🤓👌

It's our second time here. My friend travelled all the way from lakeside to eat it again with me within a span of 3 days hahahah. Its value for money - no service charge no GST!! Try and catch the lunch set promo or if you miss it, get 15% off by leaving a review on Burrple for dinner. Staff are also v friendly. Gonna come here AGAIN THIS WEEK. I ordered the basil chicken with jade noodles - 6.90. My friend ordered the Tom yum soup with jade noodles - 9.90.

Craving for Thai food satisfied: Pineapple Fried Rice, Thai Mango Salad, Fried Kang Kong, Seafood Tomyum Soup, Fried Fish with Special Thai Spicy Sauce and Fried Butter Calamari Rings. The fragrant fried rice had generous amount of prawns and pineapple. Mango salad was a good balance of sour and spicyness; a very good appetiser. The sauce of the fried fish was special but could have been spicier. The other dishes were so-so. I was particularly disappointed with the calamari rings.

Besides ordering my usual dishes, I ordered q new dish called Butter Calamari.

There is certainly the butter taste alright. Not too strong and not too mild. The texture of the calamari is not tough and too chewy as well. However, i find this dish a little oily.

Overall, a 3.5 rating for me. Be sure to order this and try it yourself. Think most people will like it! Do take note that they have relocated to 9 Tan Quee Lan Street, S'pore 188098. It is actually quite near Shaw Tower though.

really affordable and quality food here!!!! each dish we ordered cost $4-$6 but are reasonably small portioned, which is good! thai milk tea ($3) was great as well. will come back!!!!!!

The toast is mighty fluffy and soft, only lightly buttered but undoubtedly crisp. The deal breaker though is still the stunning rich and thick dips provided. The kaya-like pandan or the fragrant Thai tea, you can't go wrong with either.
