Loved the large warehouse space and the fact that tables were so spaced out - something we rarely get in SG. The rose latte and macadamia latte were both excellent, as was the mango passion fruit chocolate cake (sounds weird but it WORKS - not too sweet and I loved the rich chocolate ganache paired with tart mango and passion fruit) and matcha pancakes. Quite excellent, though out of the way and pricey compared to The Alley. Didn't get to try the food, but the menu looked interesting.

RM 16 for appropriately fluffy pancakes that had a distinct matcha taste. Offset well by the crunchy crumble. Only grouse - wish the cream was cold and of better quality, it felt a little oily on the lips. Macallum's space is gorgeous, with a huge warehouse setting and well spaced out tables. Food and coffee was pricier than other cafes'.

Excellent churros (crispy, hot, not oily and only RM 9!!) that came with a choice of dips The matcha tart was also 💯, and legitly one of the best matcha items I've ever had. I'm not kidding. Luscious and smooth and an explosion of matcha flavour. The Alley is very reasonbly priced compared to some of the other cafes we visited in Penang, which were pricier. Probably my favorite of the cafes we visited this trip.

Excellent. There was a slightly savory note to this, which was very interesting. Not too sweet. Hint: skip the long queues outside and head for a seat indoors. You pay RM 0.70 more but it will be served to your table.

All was righted with our breakfast spread. Wanton mee, chicken rice, penang char kway teow, chee cheong fun, penang hokkien mee, butter and sugar toast with boiled eggs, nasi lemak (RM 2 and legitly one of the best I've had), and 8 x goreng pisang. For 4 of us. We finished it all 😂

This was our first meal in Penang - a friend's family favorite. Oh man, this was so so so good. Large, extensive menu with dishes that we don't see in Singapore. Major highlights: deep fried kangkong (!!), the seafood otak otak served in a coconut, the excellent tom yam soup and the steamed fish in the super tasty broth.
