Definitely my all-time favourite dessert place around because of this Durian Mousse ($5).

Mousse was light, not too sweet, relatively smooth (vaguely remember it being a little icier) which reminded me of slushie; helps to cut through the richness of the durian purée - of which you can opt for an extra shot! Easily finished an entire bowl by myself after being ditched by my lunch buddies😂

Before fans of the King of Fruits cry foul about the marring of this creamy pungent fruit by using it in everything imaginable; you've got to take a leap of faith and try this. Tino's have incorporated into their specialty of freshly made, hand-tossed pizzas and created quite an unlikely pairing - the durian pizza! This savoury-sweet combination definitely stole a pizza my heart. I was pretty skeptical but as strange as it sounds, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Eat it piping hot and you'll find the warm gooey distinct taste of durian with chewy thick crust was a delight without being too cloying and I love how one can still taste the cheese. Choose from D24 ($16.90/$22.90) or Mao Shan Wang ($21.90/$27.90). Head down from 1st April onwards to give it a try.

Thank you @tinospizzacafesg for having us and @juliuslim for extending the invite!

Personal favourite was the pulot enti, glutinous rice with a vibrant blue that comes from blue pea flower; topped with turmeric leaves

Last course of the 8-course durian feast ($38++, incl pandan/ lemongrass tea)

Dainty and prettily served in delicate glassware, the chendol was a sweet end to the meal with every element coming together refreshingly well, topped with durian purée.

This was a milder prelude to our durian feast. Creme brûlées can get a little cloying to me but this was just right - luscious custard hidden beneath the thin crisp caramelised sugar lightly torched till golden brown perfection, with a distinct yet not too overpowering durian fragrance.

Creamy, bittersweet MeowthShanWang because we happened to be in the area😋 Plus Japan Mangosteens to go along at $12/2kg. This famed durian stall had a constant queue while we were there so it'd be best to call and reserve first! (Ps prices are updated on their Instagram daily) #burpple
