So this is an outlet which shares the same stall name as the Fatty Cheong outlet at ABC Brickworks market at Alexandra. I got the Charsiew-sio bak($5) and the dumplings($4). The siobak is crispy and does not have the charred bits. The Char Siew slices are really nice to sink your teeth in, nice texture as well. The sauce that went with it wasn't overpowering.
throwback to the afternoon when I went down to the Privé cafe. Took me awhile to find what I wanted and chose the linguine cabonara with a poached egg sitting in the middle with a cup of cold honey lemon tea in the sweltering 12 o'clock sun.
The texture of the cream sauce complimented the linguine pasta, and the poached egg slipped down my throat slowly. Had to eat it slowly to enjoy the full and rich flavor of the cream sauce. Along with sipping down the honey lemon tea made it a meal worth coming back for.
The ambience...simply tranquil. Overlooking the boats and yachts sitting in the harbor with the light, supple breeze from the nearby sea made me want to sit around a little more.
