Tender coffee pork ribs with its smoky coffee-infused sweet-savoury was one item that stood out. This was a good ratio of tender lean meat with a little melty pork fat. Other items, like the prawn ball and beancurd didn’t disappoint either. The menu is a little pricier than most for its portions though (the large can look like a medium in other places). Just-nice thick glistening slices of Char Siew (roasted meat) coated in a slick, dark glaze that is more sweet than the sweet-savoury balance I'd have preferred. $6 per 100g, and min. order of 300g.
Ironically, not as charred as it should be to achieve that oomph. Not bad but underwhelming given that it's so raved-about. Aptly, just like the arrow that landed on the borderline of the bullseye - pity. Texture was more like braised-meat chewy and unlike your traditional 'char siew'. Give me my char
