Maybe...Maybe Not...🤔
Previously occupied by a pizzeria, this space just by the junction along Zion Road is now replaced & renovated as Applause. Here we have the Maryland Crab Cakes at $24. The other order on our table was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, where we got a choice of 2 sides to go along. Food presentation is simple. Taste is average; regrettably amateurish. It was not as unforgettable as I wished it would be. The bill without drinks (they do serve water) or desserts was slightly above $50.
P.S. by the way, my title is their tagline...can't say I can applaud to that...
This is a Batalong Egg from Wanton. The yolk is semi runny & it's wrapped in deep fried minced pork. Is this the "in" way to do eggs these days cos this is my second one in a week, in two different places. Wanton's food is simple & average. The place however emits pretty cool vibes & that definitely makes this joint worth a visit😎
Finally made it here to try the highly rated Shiok Maki (has 2 generation or 2 types to choose from) & the fried udon, grill & sashimi. Was however a lil' disheartened from the overratedness of them all. Sashimi could be fresher, grill stuff were a tad dry & all the overpowering sauces makes one wonder what it is trying to mask🙊 Nonetheless, thumbs up for having a good selection at afforable prices🖒
Came by last week to get the famous 蛋塔 which is pretty good. Limited food menu here & food didn't quite appease my palate. Tried the 菠萝包 & my only enjoyment was the butter wedged in there😂
Finally here to try this. I💗all things老鼠粉 but this wasn't as good as I wished it to be. Admittedly, I'm a lil' disappointed despite the raves but nonetheless glad to have been there ate that😏
