Honestly not the freshest and best sea urchin around but for this price? It was well worth the money! Would have liked the seaweed fresher and crispier as it was tough and difficult to eat through. Originally at HKD45, get HKD10 off with any purchase of a drink! They have lots of other handrolls too like scallop, squid, fish roe, etc.

Honestly was quite disappointed when I bit into this pretty pink puff and didn't taste any hints of lychee. Thankfully, the burst of smooth cream cheese encased in the delightfully light puff saved the day! There are other flavours like chocolate, matcha and strawberry which based on the photos I've seen, all seem to have the flavours infused in the cream cheese. The flavours might be more distinct in those.

First saw this near Ladies Market and there was a snaking long queue. We didn't join in thinking it's normal coconut juice but we were wrong! A seemingly simple drink but was actually more complicated to make than we expected. There were lots of ice blending and lots of condensed milk tossed in like free in the process.

It didn't turn out ice blended like we thought it would but it was still a cold icy drink that's damn refreshing in Hong Kong's summer. It tasted very similar to milky melted cendol less the additional toppings!

This bowl of noodles with sausages came with a funny story because we ordered it thinking it was topped with pig intestines! The soup in this tastes different from the Pork Liver Noodles. A lack of the earthy flavours from the livers meant it was clearer and simpler, but yet it was surprisingly still very flavorful.

Once you turn into Fuk Wing Street, you'll definitely not miss Wai Kee as they have not just 1, but 3 shops in a row. Plus, all 3 shops were almost fully occupied! Came running here for their popular Pork Liver Noodles after seeing it on Instagram. The generous serving of livers was cooked perfectly, so tender and clear of the porky smell. I would have preferred the instant noodles to have a better bite but the addictive soup redeemed it with full earthy flavours from the livers. Seemingly simple and may look unappetizing to some but it was a really comforting and hearty breakfast. You can give this a try if you're around the area! You can also opt for other types of noodles and toppings with the same soup base.

Super damn sad that I missed the Gudetama month in HK's McDonald's ☹️ Met with the Hello Kitty month during my trip and got to try this out! Kind of expected flavours more similar to Mac's apple pies or maybe even find apple bits tossed in, but the overall flavours here weren't distinct and it's quite hard to describe this as an Apple Crumble McFlurry. The mildly buttery crispy bits scattered in were quite enjoyable but you can probably skip this!

Grabbed this off the shelf right away because I didn't even see this flavour anywhere in Taiwan! Unfortunately, the generous cocoa was overpowering, resulting in a lack of the distinct milk tea fragrance you find in its original flavored bottles. Stick to that or if there is, the Earl Grey Milk Tea (yellow bottle) is a pleasant choice too!

Was having a hard time deciding between the hot selling flavours, Lava Honey and Taiwan Pineapple Cake, until I realized the latter sold out long ago. The photo of this Lava Honey flavored egglet on Modos' menu board showed lots of oozing overflowing honey, but they were in fact, more of honey encased in tiny bubbles. I didn't really enjoy the taste of the honey used but still, thumbs up to the effort put into ensuring every single egglet contained a honey bubble each which pops on bite! The egglet itself was decent. If you decide to join the queue, maybe try out their other interesting flavours like Russian Borscht, Red Cheddar Cheese and Jacob's Orange Chocolate.

I was like WOAHHHH when I first saw this while scrolling through Instagram and with all things cheese, it went right into my list of food to try in Hong Kong. I obviously wasn't the only one dying to try this as the crowd grew quickly when the buns were ready at 12pm (Buns are limited at 800 a day). Although the bread could be softer and fluffier, I guarantee that you’ll be satisfied with the amount of cheese used. You know how sometimes you feel so shiok having cheese with your bread but that shiokness quickly fades away as you finish that gooey goodness and end up with plain bread? Nothing like that here as every bite from start to end is filled with sweet creamy cheese, not forgetting the cheese powder that's all over it. You can also get 4 pieces of these at HKD90 (S$15.60)! Guschlbauer launches new flavours once in a while, like the Austrian Mango & Cheese Bun when I visited.

Originally set up with the focus on selling fishballs (鱼蛋), it ended up gaining popularity quickly with its bowls of Suan La Fen. It is now better known as one of the best in Hong Kong which I totally understand why.

Order a bowl with your preferred level of spiciness and move on to its left for an air-conditioned standing eating area (so thankful for this in the summer heat). I got to say that I really enjoyed this, especially the perfectly cooked chewy sweet potato noodles and the amazingly crunchy sliced pickled mustard stems, which were unlike the usual forgettable over salty ones. This Suan La Fen was fragrant, slightly ‘numby’ and wasn’t too sour nor spicy, making it a comfortable bowl to slurp down. The soup had a thicker consistency and filled with finely chopped up ingredients unlike usual ones which you mostly find spammed with chilli oil. I loved how the only sounds we heard here was everyone sniffing from the spices while busily slurping their noodles up. Head on next door to the strategically located 椰汁大王 to get a cup of chendol-taste-a-like Coconut Juice if you need to calm down your taste buds!

天仁茗茶 seems to be more popular for its teas judging from the orders I saw, but their tea flavoured soft serves caught my eye! I was so glad to have gotten it even though my tummy was already on the verge of bursting at that time. It was slightly icy on the top surface but all was good past that – extremely fragrant with a strong distinct tea flavour that was not too sweet! This refreshing portion was huge and very very worth the price. Check out other interesting flavours on their menu like the Assam Black Tea!
