I think that is the main thing about Filipino food, it feels like there is a party of flavours in your palate. 💃🏻 Sylog's tocino is tender and satisfying however, I prefer it to be a little burnt. I just want some texture in every bite. 😜 Maybe next time, I can request? 🤔

Thank goodness, eyes are not included. 🙈) cooked in coconut vinegar and calamansi juice; seasoned with salt and other condiments that a usual Filipino kitchen has 😜; topped with chopped chili peppers and onion leaves. Ohyeah, and then you have your sisig! Remember to crack an egg on it while it sizzles!

He would always bring home a roll of this soft meringue-like cake with custard filling. Who wouldn't enjoy a cake that almost melts in your mouth? 😍 Ohh, childhood memories...👨‍👧 Although, Comida Fiesta's Brazo de Mercedes is not as soft as expected, it is not as sweet as we used to. Thus, it is easy to finish that you would want another slice! ❤️

It was not my first time to order Lechon in this stall. I already tried it before which as far as, I remember, has soft meat, crispy skin and oh just flavourful. However at that night, their lechon didn't live up to the expectation. I suspect (just suspect) that maybe they source their lechon from different suppliers. I based this through the food's consistency, because I would say that the other meal in the menu were consistent in terms of flavour and texture. I regularly eat my dinner here, especially if I crave for Filipino food that is just in the area. 😋

This barbecue from Gerry's Grill has huge serving and has just right texture although, some parts were quite chewy. 🤔 However, the balance of sweetness, savoury and a little spiciness with slightly burnt flavour was commendable. The pickled carrots on the side added excitement to the flavour galore of this dish! 💕

The vegetables were fresh and have the desired crunchiness however, the meat was not as tender as expected. It also lacked ingredients that a basic beef bulalo should have like the corn, potatoes or saba banana. Quite frustrating that it lacked of the light yellowish effect on the soup. But anyway, it was filling and it solved my cravings for Filipino food! Indeed, nothing is more authentic than Filipino food cooked in the Philippines with the availability of all ingredients. 😜

If there is one meal that Filipinos would declare as National Food, it would be Adobo. Adobo can be anything; pork, chicken, squid, string beans... Anything that is cooked with soy sauce and vinegar. Who wouldn't be delighted with the fullness of flavour that an adobo can offer? 😍

The belly! The skin is crispy while the meat is soft and flavourful. The layers of fat won't make you feel sinful at all! Well, only while eating. After that you'll realise, "Oh! I need 2-hour cycle to burn those fats!" 😁

I was craving for Lechon since Wednesday. I looked for it in Tampines but not available. 😭 Had no plans of going far to eat but I can't take it! 😅 Though, not very accessible (3 stations away from Tampines), the good thing about it is there are less people and I came during lunchtime! 😜 Yeyy!

Visited Lucky Plaza after a long time because we were craving for Filipino Food. We ordered Lechon Kawali (S$9), Sinigang (S$9) and Kare-Kare (S$8.45), which really had big serving. We all shared and we're happy! 😜

I can't believe how crowded it is on a Sunday! Everywhere you look, there's Kababayan. Hehe ☺️ It feels like in the Philippines again because of the same laughter and enthusiasm that all Filipinos exhibit. 😜😄❤️
