Definitely, not my usual Satay. I still prefer chicken. The beef variant tasted distinct and delicious but the texture made me want to just spit out what's left in my mouth. Anyway, the place was refreshing and with the breathtaking view of the bay and Singapore Flyer. Location wise, it was worth it! 😉

😁 Something is about peanut sauce that excites me. 🤔 Such a sinful meal for a dinner, but as long as happy! I didn't know that satay is also served with slices of pineapples and surprisingly, it enhanced the flavour and texture of the meal. Happiness in a plate, indeed!

The pork bao was fine. The filling was tasty but I like it more if the bread is thicker, weird isn't it? 🤓 The siew mai was so good that I regretted for ordering just 3 pieces, but anyway, I needed more space for dessert! So, sacrifice! 😜

This can be so simple with just the noodles, that 'brown sauce' and some vegetables, but how the thickness and the meatiness of the sauce complemented with the chewy and thick noodles made it a real delight after work. 💕

I've been coming back to the same stall every evening after work. And I have 4 main reasons why...
1. Affordable -- Fast foods cost >$5
2. Nice owners -- The Auntie selling really gives genuine smile! That's rare to see at 7pm when you've been cooking the whole day!
3. Rice -- I need rice after work! I'm Filipino, rice is life!
4. Delicious & crispy fried chicken -- They may look small and thin but don't judge the chicken by how it looks like; taste to be convinced! It's delicious that you want to come again the next day. Just how I did!

Surprisingly, I still have that same feeling the first time I tasted it. Crispy wrapper, soft and tasty meat and chives filling -- just like opening presents in every bite. Moreover, this stall has really improved a lot, from the food presentation, change in utensils (now, much prettier in black!), to being lesser oily. 😋 It is just amazing how can one food affect your feelings and mood to end the day -- comforting and satisfying, indeed. 😌

✋🏻We saw this uncle in Bendemeer Food Centre selling 5 Tutu Kueh for $2.50. He was cheerful even it was already past 7 PM. 😊 It just feels good to buy from people who show gratitude and enthusiasm everytime customers come to queue. Their smiles are evidence that they truly care and give pride of their business. Oh, and his Tutu Kuehs are excellent! 👍🏻 Surely, I'll buy again next time.
