This place serves really nice (above average) dim sum! What I particularly liked was the beef hor fun ($6) It has the "wok" flavour which really made it a winner for me :) try try try!

This is the collagen soup that I finally tried (smth like 美人锅 but not the main branch one) Pretty cool cause the collagen (which looks like tau huey) literally melts and becomes this creamy soup base. Quite tasty but gelat after a few rounds. It comes with fresh vegetables(which are really good), some meat, prawns and chicken (alr in the soup). It may look really little but at the end you'll be surprisingly full(because of the collagen soup). Worth a try! Their pork wrapped rice balls are pretty good too.
Be warned that their signature flavour is yuzu. There'll be a tinge of yuzu in the meat / soup here and there. I'm not a fan but it didn't spoil my dining experience so not to worry.
For those of you who are mindful of customer service, this place would not disappoint(the only disappointing thing is queuing up 40 min to go in on a weekday night @7pm. I don't think anyone will feel any customer service while queuing tho heh)
Go during non-peak hours like 8pm for dinner :)
美人锅-$25++ per person

Was around ang mo kio and heard a friend recommending this place. Queuing time for the noodles is a bit long (ard 15min) but their noodles are pretty awesome. Their broth is tasty and their meat is really fresh! Try the ban mian because it is hand made and has a really soft and light texture compared to the usual kinds. Really delightful to the tastebuds! And the Tom Yum ban mian 👍🏻👍🏻 the Tom Yum is good! Sour at the start and spicy and the end. I loved it, even more so than my original you mian :) Their food gives a very homely feel. Go during non peak hours! Price range between $3.30-$4.50. Very affordable!
*Note: they have 2 queues! Order queue on the right and waiting queue on the left. Don't get confused!

Ban Mian lovers out there, this is the place to be! Fragrant soup, generous portions of meat and sweet spicy homemade chilli... This will get you coming back for more! Both the soup and dry versions are equally tasty! Also, it's at an affordable price of $3.50! 🙌🏼 Yay to wallet-friendly prices!

PS: took this picture when I was almost halfway through my food! 😅 Portion is much bigger than shown in the picture!
If you are staying around the North area and looking for a decent air-conditioned zichar dinner, this is the place to be! Their dim sum menu is not available at night (will try it one day and update!), but surprisingly their main dishes did not disappoint! 👏🏻3 dishes for $23. Salted egg pork ribs (fried) was an interesting dish but really good(tho quite few pieces). I loved their 三蛋菜- the soupy sauce is very fragrant! Lastly, the fried rice. Tasty with a slight burnt wok taste 😋 really a good place to enjoy comfort Chinese food in air-con in the north!! 🙂 Rating: 4/5
One of the most awesome beef hor fun I've tasted, and also simply because the amount of beef >>> amount of hor fun 😆 at $5 per plate, you're guaranteed to be filled up! Just the right amount and consistency of the gravy 👍🏻 also, if you are sharing with a group, do try their 虾酱鸡(prawn paste chicken/har jeong gai). Yum yum to the tum tum tho it can be a little oily (and sinful 😅)
Pretty awesome Bak Kut Teh served here, though it could have more meat to make the dish even better! Ordered bak kut teh with mee sua ($8++). The soup does not have an overly strong peppery spice to it 👍🏻 and their mee sua is really smooth and springy. Probably homemade. Do try their youtiao too please! (add beancurd if u want cause it's quite good too). It's addictive. Overall a nice meal if u want to spend a little more than at a food court/fast food joint. ($25 for two people)
Yes that's right, the famous Bai Mee Fen at Sembawang has branched out and their selling their dishes to areas other than the North! Went to the branch at Punggol Settlement and the standard of the Bai Mee Fen is pretty good here👍🏻 for two, you'll be filled by ordering the dishes above in their small size. Their signature dishes include the salted eggyolk sotong $12 (it's really really good. Sotong a bit too chewy for my liking but I guess sotongs are like that) and their sambal potato leaves $8 (sauce is more toward sweet and spicy). Total damage ard $30. It'll definitely be slightly cheaper in the original coffee shop, but if it's near you, why not just head down to their air-conditioned branches instead? 😊
