Pastapasta 🍝
There wasn't rly much of the truffle taste, was pretty disappointed ): I think they just drizzled some truffle oil over the ravioli at the end? The Eggs Ben looks amazing tho and the roasted almond latte was rly delicious!!
This dish was about $15-16 if I'm not wrong. The cream taste was really a little too overwhelming and there was only a subtle hint of the mushroom taste. Was pretty disappointed ):
I would recommend the desserts here. The unicorn cake and Milky Way was way smaller than what you would imagine. But they were really super pretty and taste was not bad too (:
Actually was suppose to meet at kitchenette, turns out that whole area seem to be under construction or something. No regrets, have been wanting to try Craftsmen for a while.
The aglio olio style pasta was delicious. The amount of garlic was heavenly and also very generous servings of crunch prawns along with some cherry tomatoes. My friends order the mussel cream pasta which was equally delicious as well with lots of mussels. The soft shell crab burger was good as well, however the portion size was really quite small so i would advice to add some sides to that.
The ambience of the place was rly cosy and great for catching up with friends (:
On their Today's Special menu. Lots of chunky slices of garlic, sundried tomatoes, Chilli and a generous amount of prawns. It's more towarda the "Chao Mian" feel than the wetter type of Aglio Olio. Just the way I like it!
Can't rmb the name of this dish but it had a strong taste and smell of truffle with greens at the side and a stick of sausages and prawns coated with a spicy (little bit) sauce. Tasted great and was very flavourful, pasta was nicely done too. The portion was a tiny bit small for me. Inhaled it in about 10 minutes 😂.
You can order it as an ala carte or with their Christmas set which comes with a cake and their Christmas drinks.
(Bugis outlet; can't seem to find the location)Got their signature pasta which has an Asian twist to like an Aglio Olio but it does still taste like a good plate of pasta. Pasta was al dante with eggs, garlic, onions and spring onions. Would definitely get this again next time.
Went there with a pretty big group of friends at about 530 and there was still space although we tried to book two days prior and it was full house.
Angel hair pasta, pork ragout, onsen tamago, kale and sakura ebi (small shrimps).
Taste more Asiany than Italian (not in a bad way). The pork complemented the dish well and taste a bit like those you find in lu rou fan.
Located between Farrer Park station and lavender station it's about a good 10-15 minutes walk.
Got the classic carbonara ($16.90) under the cheese wheel pasta column which consisted of shiitake mushrooms, crispy bacon, garlic (thick-ish slices, YUMS), parsley with fettuccine all rolled in the wheel of heavenly goodness before serving it to you. I must say the portion looked a lot smaller than I expected but it's good enough for 1 person portion because the cream and cheese is pretty heavy.
As for the fish and chip (with a choice of two sides; we picked both fries) it was rly normal besides the fact that they gave salted egg sauce and Chilli crab sauce. The fries we chose for the sides were really good tho. It's thinner than shoestring fries and covered with a layer of orangey batter.
Overall I would recommend the pasta if you do visit this place. Oh and pls do reserve. We came 30 minutes after the opening time (12pm) and it was already filled with reserved signs and people. There were only a few empty tables left.
2 course meal here at $21.90++ during lunch time which is pretty worth it as the mains itself are already about $20. I got the penne carbonara as the main and as for desserts got 3 mini scoops of ice cream (flavours changes everyday) and 2 toppings. The "mini" scoops were actually pretty damn big. Really really filling and not sure why there's quite a number of negative reviews but I've been here twice and the food's pretty good.
My friend ordered pizza with chicken as the main. The crust is the best I've ever tasted. It's slightly crunchy and when you bite into it it's rly soft on the inside and went really well with the toppings (chunks of cheese, chicken and tomato) which they were quite generous with.
Really enjoyed the cosy interior of this place (:
Had the Prawn Aglio Olio (~$17.60++). Pasta was well seasoned and not too spicy. The prawn was crunchy as well. If I had to be picky, the pasta was overcooked by the slightest bit. But alls good (:
We had their famous Mac and Cheese to share and it was rly delicious. The truffle aroma was wonderful but the taste wasn't overpowering.
They also have different drinks promo each day depending on the day ^^
This place was a little hard to find tucked away near HarbourFront. There were little chickens loitering around when we were there 😂 ordered the Bacon Aglio Olio ($15) which consisted of crispy bacon (HUGE AMT) in olio based sauce topped with poached egg. A little towards the oiler side but it was all good 👍🏼 their menu offers a variety of choices. Will definitely be back again. No service charge and GST. Great ambience too! 😋
Can't get enough of pasta. I just can't. Priced at $15 ++ this filling bowl of pasta with just the right mix of mentaiko, seaweed, prawns and mushrooms, will keep your tummy happy and full 😋 there's quite a wide selection of pastas and also if u can't decide, there's a selection of half and half!
