The star 🌟 here would be the caramelized honey glazed Char Siew! 😍 I could definitely taste the char on the outside while savouring the moist well-marbled meat!

Next was the Roast Duck! For me, the deciding factor of a good Roast Duck must be the crispy skin! This skin was crispy and tasty without being overly oily or hiding the super thick layer of fat underneath.

Kay Lee has been around since the 1970s. For them to have been around this long, they must be doing it right! The meats were all sold out by 830pm when we were there so be early if you visit!

😂 The ayam 🐓 lemak chilli padi and the crispy and fragrant begedil were the most awesome of that lot! Trust me, you WILL want to slather all that rice with loads of the curry and you WILL finish that mound of rice! 😋 I dare say this stall's begedil is the best I ever had. Still warm when served this ball of mashed potato is everything done the right way! Honourable mention goes to the beef 🐂 rendang. The beef was flavourful and nicely marinated without falling into the trap of being too dry 🙌🏼. Do note that you should head over before 8pm as the food sells out pretty early. Bigger combo plate options available for larger groups!

Walking past this stall and many tables at the newly renovated Food Opera, you will definitely notice numerous hungry peeps slurping this shiok shiok white bee hoon soaking in delicious umami seafood stock. Just look at the amount of gravy that comes with each plate! I was practically scraping the plate for the last few drops!
For this Set A, you get soft shell clams and fresh prawns 🍤 and super crispy pork lard! For the greedier folks, they have a next level Set B which includes slipper lobster😍!

Smokey wok-hei, slightly charred kway teow, crispy pork lard and most importantly, fried with so much lap cheong, prawns 🍤 , fishcake and fresh cockles (aka hum), it is hard to believe that these days $3 can buy you so much happiness😋!

Cold brew ☕️ has always been my personal favourite way of consuming caffine after chancing upon it at @oldhencoffee . This cold brew from @brawn_and_brains packed all the goodness of cold brew without being overly milky or sweet. Definitely a nice respite for a hot and humid day!

This dish left me grinning with satisfaction! The Char Siew was not overly charred and had a crisp outer layer. What was so remarkable was how the meat looked deceptively lean yet tasted so juicily fatty 👍🏼😍!

@RoastParadise has been around for almost a year and they already have a steady fan base! They are only open from 11am-2pm and 4.30pm to 6pm and are closed on Mondays and only open halfday on Wed and Sun! The owners are 2 young chaps who decided to get out of the rat race and preserve our hawker culture. Their passion is unmistakably evident from the quality roast meats they serve!

The choux pastry was first filled with rich coffee cream, then topped with a milk chocolate disc, more cream (😋), and finally sprinkled with generous amounts of cocoa crumble and edible flowers 🌸👌🏼! If you need more flowers to beautify this for your insta shot, just ask! (At least that's what @msginginly did 😂). 🍴

@sgfatlulus is a new concept (just opened this month!) run by the former people of Five & Dime. What's special about this place is that you are invited to view making of your dessert at their open-concept kitchen!
