Waffles And Pancakes To Die For
It's probably no surprise that Artistry's PB&J French Toast ($14) is on the list. Thick slices of brioche French toast are stuffed with peanut butter and raspberry jam, drizzled with maple syrup and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a tart mixed berry compote. Grab and smear, dip and spread. Aim to get a bit of everything (especially the speculoos crumble) in a single bite. You're guaranteed a massive flavour and texture party in your mouth. This one, you'd want all to yourself.
Thanks @thearcticstar for the recommendation!!! Pandan ice cream waffle and espresso butterscotch syrup $9.50
Loved the crispy waffle that was even crisper on the edges!

If you like your waffle slightly salty, I think you will like it! Crispy and airy waffle, with nonya chendol gelato, red bean and pandan jelly. Personally I think it reminds me of kaya butter toast š| $12 | Kinda in the expensive side. Tried their MSW and Chocolate gelato, and I think it's quite dense in flavour.
We had the salted caramel waffles and the chocolate strawberry waffles, both priced at $12 each. They were really good and the waffles were crispy but fluffy on the inside. I enjoyed both waffles but I definitely liked the salted caramel waffles a lot more! However, you have to walk a bit if you're getting here by public transport.
Creamier's long queues and licked-dry plates are testament to the truly addictive nature of their ice cream and waffles. Expect to queue even on a weeknight, but it's seriously worth it. Two perfectly crisp waffles stay firm below two scoops of dense ice cream. Go for the Salted Caramel Gula Melaka and the Roasted Pistachio. Photo by Geraldine Tay.
Doesn't Rachel make them sound delectable? 'Pancakes with Gula Melaka Butterscotch. The salted gula melaka (palm sugar) over those plush pancakes is to die for. I walloped more than half of this. Just. Couldn't. Stop. Eating. For non-Singaporeans, "shiok" is a word to describe a feeling of utter bliss.' Photo by Rachel Xie.
What's truly enticing about a good French toast is a balance of salty and sweet, and the one at Ronin totally nails it with their Brioche French Toast with Stewed Pear, Crispy Bacon and Hazelnut Butter. The crispy bacon is just salty enough to offset the maple syrup, and the pear is so soft and juicy. This can be easily finished by one person, and you may not want to share anyway. As always, be sure to have a coffee here. Photo by Jayne Tan.
Priced at $13.50, this stack of 3 red velvet pancakes come with addictive homemade cream cheese frosting, and are the perfect complement to the large serving of truffle fries you know you're going to have. Great for those who simply love red velvet! Photo by Keng Wee Tan.
D.O.C certainly has an edge over the rest by nailing both the sweet and the savoury buttermilk waffle. The savoury sun-dried tomato and herb waffle with bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs and maple bacon jam is a perfect choice for breakfast. The sweet version comes with caramelized rum bananas and vanilla bean ice cream, and has won over many dessert-lovers hearts. Why not try both next time you head down? Photo by Eleanor Tay.
For $11, these huge pancakes are simple and satisfying, served with a good dollop of butter and just the right amount of maple syrup. A great place for brunch or tea time, come here and relax with a good book, or a good friend to chat with. Photo by Rachel Xie.
Veronica Phua puts it so aptly, 'Two thick yet lightly fluffy pancakes are so generously filled with blueberries and ricotta cheese bits, every mouthful is absolute heaven. As if that is not enough, three pieces of crisp bacon add a savory dimension to what is already wow'. Finish off with their wonderful coffee, and you've got the perfect brunch. Sit outside if the weather is nice! Photo by Veronica Phua.
