Has been a looong time since I had their Signature Duck Confit ($16.90++) and it still tasted as good as I remembered!! Glad that this isn’t one of those restaurants who will drop standard after they become ultra famous & open a few more outlets. Also, you can now get their Original Saveur Pasta as a main size ($10.90++) - which is the size of 2 starters bcos one is definitely NOT enough!
The Saveur Duck Confit Burger ($17.90++) is also worth a try though it’s pretty messy to eat & the charcoal bun is a tad too dry.
One of my favourite lunch time date spots🍴Tho I'd say it was on the pricier end (I had a Regular 100g Salmon @ $12.50, large is $16.50 - And they charge additional 7% GST), perfect for Fridays when you saved up from skimming through the week and feel like a baller HAHAHA And anyways, healthy & aesthetically-pleasing food always comes at a price 😂 Atmosphere was great, and the people are pretty friendly!! Oh, and they have special flavours once in awhile too!!
Once you go Long Fatt, you never go back. I still remember the first time I had their tau sar piah... It literally changed my world. Nothing compares to biting into one of their fresh-from-the oven salty tsp. You can tell because the box is still warm. 😋 These little pieces of pure goodness make you forget about the calories and just want to go for more. Though there is a constant debate on which is the best tsp along Balestier ((with their unnamed rival being a short walk away)), this is still undisputedly No. 1 in my heart.
They recently increased their price from $0.70 to... ((wait for it)) $0.80 (WHAT?!?!) but I mean... who's complaining?
Wallet friendly & yummy makes a happy tummy!!
Used to always come here for the Spicy Meatballs Tomato Cream ($9.80) - non-spicy tho, don't ask why. Tried the Battered Fish with Mushroom Aglio Olio ($9.80 too!!!) this time and the battered fish is sooo good, better than some Fish & Chips places even! Matched with their homemade coriander dip & aglio olio that kinda looks like pesto, rly a steal in town for those who want to save up for drinks later @ Clarke Quay!
Have been frequenting this place probably once every month ever since we found out about it because le dad LOVESSS the steak here. Tried the Norwegian Salmon Steak on a bed of Orzo Salad ($16.50) and seriously one of my favorite things about this place is how interesting some of their dishes are!!! The salon skin was crisp, but the flesh still maintained its moisture and the sauce on the orzo salad just completed the guilt-free dish. Wonder what I'm going to try next at this place!!!
Had their Matcha Soft Serve ($5.90) for the second time within the last week and can see myself going back to this place again... and again... and again... SO GOOD!! But defo not for those who prefer the sweeter renditions as their Matcha here leans more towards the natural bitter taste. Had the hojicha one the previous time but still prefer the original Matcha flavour 😊
These Nem Nuong ($3.90+ for 2 sticks) are not to be messed with. Their secret recipe pork balls definitely have won my heart, and make me constantly want to come back time and again for more.
The place is generally nice & affordable, with Beef/Chicken pho going at $9.90+ per bowl and tasting 262816282x better than those mainstream stalls (which shall not be named) and the broth is super rich & flavorful!! Other must trys include their fried spring rolls ($3.50+ for 3) and salted lemonade (this is legit damn bombz). Heard the cockles are good too but never had!! Really worth the try yet super gentle on your wallet!
Had their popular Truffle Yakiniku Don ($14.80++) and can definitely understand why everyone loves it! Generous serving of pan seared US black angus short rib drizzled with truffle soy sauce that didn't overpower the dish ((like how it would in many other truffle dishes)) - accompany that with a wallet-friendly price and you have a winner.
The Lychee Fizz ($5++), however, was rather disappointing as it lacked any lychee flavour and was just very bland.
Tried the large flower bowl ($14.90) for the first time! Still preferred the nutty bowl, but the larger variety of fruits in this one makes this one feel a lot healthier, and definitely more photo worthy! 📸
Have came here to have their linguine ($16) and crispy honey wings ($10 for 8) multiple times, and never once disappointed!! A must try in my opinion!!
