Price: $9.60 (for students). Fish and chips at Sapore at Utown. A pretty ok dish. But what stood out was the infectious friendliness of the boss that can brighten your day :). They serve other dishes like risotto and pasta there also!

Price: spent about $50 for 3 people. Verdict: yes, I would revisit. Despite having read other reviews that gave the bak kut teh scathing criticism, I would say that it really isn't that bad and I had really enjoyed myself while drinking the soup. My great at gripe with the bak kut teh is that the pot is really really small and shallow thereby requiring us to refill it many many times over(like 5 times?); so much so that we felt a little paiseh. The other dish worth trying is the An Pang Yong tau foo. I thought it was quite well made. Though I can't quite remember now what's so special about it because it happened quite a while ago lol. I would totally revisit it if I'm in a shopping mall and craving some bak kut teh. However, I don't think I would go out of my way to visit it because there are other more famous bak kut teh establishments that deserve the 'special visit' treatment.

Price: 18 wings and drumlets at $22.90. Verdict: recommended.
Wings in bugolgi sauce can't go quite wrong and indeed this particular dish served by nene chicken met expectations. The chicken meat was tender and the bugolgi sauce was well-mixed. My only gripe with this is probably the waiting time and the lack of seats. Nene chicken at start vista is an extremely small outlet with only about 4-5 tables. So if u r looking to enjoy a meal comfortably and have a prolonged catchup with ur friend over meal, you might want to look elsewhere.

Price: $8.90. Verdict: recommended if you can stomach the after-meal spiciness.
This asam laksa is unlike the usual singapore laksa. It is a Penang style asam laksa with distinctive 'asam' taste. If you are looking to have a good o' laksa with extra 'hum', you might want to look elsewhere. This laksa has asam and fish based broth and not your usual coconut based broth. Although this broth is different from the usual, it is nevertheless very flavorful. But that's not the main highlight. The main highlight is the thick vermicelli that's infused with the broth flavor. Ooolala! You can taste the 'asam' in every single strand of vermicelli! My only caveat for this is that it can get quite spicy after a while so you might want to think twice if you cannot take spicy.
