a great way to end a meal at Chomp Chomp, which was just 2 minute's walk away. the moment i walked into the place, i smelled the aroma of waffles and knew i was gonna get some good stuff 😍 we had the red velvet waffles ($4.70) + 2 scoops ($5.60) (bananas about nutella, cookie monster). the cream cheese in between the two waffles stacked together gave the waffles much more flavour and made it more "red velvety". waffles were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and it was not too sweet. probably one of the better waffles i've tasted! would come back here again to try the other waffles. the ice cream flavours were a little sweet, but what are waffles without ice cream right?
my craving for ice cream and waffles has been going crazy this whole week, so i decided to drop by here to try the Red Velvet Waffle Stack ($14.50). it definitely satisfied my craving oh my.
the waffles were crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. waffles like these are always my favourite. they were also a little sweet, so if you like sweet waffles this one's for you! i liked the pieces of shortcake bits in the ice cream a lot 😍 also, they gave a generous amount of ice cream. presentation of this is surely an A+, but price wise maybe it would be better if it was a little cheaper?
I was surprised it wasn't crowded today, probably because it was a weekday. We ordered Waffles with Sea Salt Gula Melaka & Plain Ole Chocolate ($11.80). Instantly, I fell in love with the chocolate. It was so smooth and creamy! The Sea salt Gula Melaka went complemented the dark chocolate very well! This was a great combo. However, I was stuck with only very few options because most of the flavours were premium ones (+90c per scoop). The waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Would love to come back again!
I couldn't resist the urge to try Sunday Folks again! Today I decided to go with the Earl Grey Lavender & Two Waffles ($12.90). The waffles were exceptional as usual, and I recommend this flavour to people who love Earl Grey, because the flavour was really strong.
I went for a run this morning, but I couldn't resist how this dish was described on the menu and I had to order it! My calories painstakingly lost this morning now gained back again from this irresistible dish. Sigh.
This is the Red Velvet Nutella Waffles ($13), which consisted of Red Velvet Waffles, a generous scoop of Vanilla ice cream, Nutella drizzled all over, and white chocolate chips sprinkled over the waffles. I would've loved the waffles more if they were a little crispier on the outside, but it was still great. Everything with Nutella is simply satisfying. When everything was in my mouth all at once, mmm.. I couldn't resist but greedily eat everything. Absolutely sinful!
Buttermilk waffles with artisan greek yoghurt and fresh fruits (bottom) ($8.50), Buttermilk waffles with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruits (top) ($8.50), Hot Chocolate (right) ($5.50) & Iced Mocha ($6.50). The Buttermilk waffles were HEAVEN. I would go back any day. I shouldn't have ordered yoghurt though, it was too sour. Ice cream went very well with the waffles!
Charcoal Waffles ($6) with Cookies & Cream Ice Cream (left scoop) ($3.90) and Hazelnut Ice Cream (right scoop) ($3.90). The charcoal waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, tasted like heaven 😍 The hazelnut ice cream tasted really good too. The cookies and cream, however, felt like I was eating sugar. It was really too sweet, and it was like I was eating plain sugar.
Dark Chocolate Soft Serve & Waffles ($10.50) + Soufflé Cheesecake ($1.90). The waffles here were amazing. With just the right crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside, I couldn't stop myself from devouring the whole thing! The Dark Chocolate Soft Serve had loads of flavour, and it was a little bit bitter which I loved because I like dark chocolate. The soufflé cheesecake was a top up, and I think the price of it could be lowered! But other than that everything else was great!
