Six word review: Decent charsiew, okay noodle, forgettable wanton.

Made a trip to MacPherson last week wanting to try Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee, only to find out the eatery was still closed for repair work. #sadded #whyyounosay

Our search for an alternative dinner place landed us at Crab Meat Wanton Mee, few shop spaces away from Kin Kin. Oh my, it was one delicious plate that got us raving over it. The noodle was very springy and you can find water chestnut in their homemade wantons. The sauce that bind all the “liao” together was licking good. Crabmeat and charsiew were sadly quite forgettable. But overall, this is one good plate of wanton mee that I love to recommend to all you Ubians!

Slurp-worthy one Michelin star noodle. Can't decide which is better, the soup or the dry noodle bowl. Soup version is flavorful, but has a tinge of yellow noodle taste in it. Those who loves vinegar shld opt for the dry noodle. Is it delish? Yes. Will I queue 1hr 15 mins again? Not really. 😐😌

Rainy day got me thinking about the lobster broth ramen by Keisuke! Word of advice: the spice in the Spicy Miso Lobster ramen overpowers the soup broth, so go for the rich creamy one instead (it can be a tad salty for some tastebuds). Not my fav Keisuke branch but won't mind dining here again if there's no Q!

Menya's seafood ramen (S$15.90) is decent. Noodle was al dente and diners get to select one of the soup broth: white (original), black (black sauce) and red (spicy). Not exactly blown away by the ramen but don't mind coming back to try other soup broth!

I visited @shibertybakes with high hope after reading the raving reviews online.

TBH, I was disappointed. Perhaps I caught them on their bad day.

The toast was mediocre and inconsistent. One side lack of crisp and the another lack the buttery taste. Ice cream is...Ordinary. If you buy your ice cream from an external vendor, source for better ones if you can! If its home-made, 加油 and continue to work on it! 😊 It's okay not to have so much supermarket tidbits over the toast, even if it looks more aesthetic for Instagram. At least a few good one (how abt a Ferrero Rocher for cheeze's sake). Overall, good for the eyes but doesn't go well with my taste bud that day.

Pls continue to support local entrepreneur. Hopefully it will be better if I visit the next time. Maybe I shld try their macaroon heh.

You need both luck and patient (waited almost an hour for it) to savor this plate of hokkien mee. My dear friend tried to patronize this stall twice, but it was closed on both occasions heh.

Wok game strong, but chili is 🙄. Not sure if you can do phone order for takeaway. But no harm tryinggg.
