Korean Yum
This is the classic Injeolmi Bingsu at Nunsaram and I must say I was thoroughly impressed! Perhaps I have an overly sweet tooth. Quite filling but my dining partner and I were considering seconds!!!! Really generous with the powder too. Can't remember how much it costs but I vaguely recall it to be between 11-12 dollars. Yum!
This was slightly below expectations as everyone had been raving about it. I would really rather eat Nunsaram because they were much more generous with the Injeolmi powder and mochi. The ice was definitely milky though. Not too bad!
This was the $11.90 lunch deal that came with a couple of side dishes. It was palatable and hot, but lacked the flavor of a "truly Korean" dish. There was a disproportionate amount of rice to ingredients, and the vegetables were no where to be found after mixing. I added on a kimchi pancake which was floury and tasteless. Doesn't justify the 18.90 I spent after tax. :-( that said, they had newly opened and may be having some teething issues. I wouldn't be heading back anytime soon though!
This completely revolutionized fried chicken for me. I had no idea breast meat could taste so tender and succulent. The sauce- we had opted for garlicky fried chicken- was sinful but absolutely worth it because it was so tasty. We had opted for the whole fried chicken which seems like the best option imo because it was all really yummy and tender so no worries about biting into a chunk of dry meat. Yum!!!!!
