Heng Kee Curry Chicken Beehoon Mee is the only stall that sells good curry chicken noodles. There is another stall here but it's not as good.

Happy Mookata is a great option for night owls since they're open till six in the morning. Located at Golden Mile Tower (not Complex), there are no Thai vibes here whatsoever. But it's probably one of, if not THE cheapest mookata buffet there is, so the lack of atmosphere and good ventilation can be brushed aside. For $23.90/pax, you can get your fill of standard items like chicken, pork, sausages, prawns and vegetables. They don't use charcoal here either, but that shouldn't be a problem if you're not fussy! Happy Mookata will probably be not be at the top of your list, but it surely won’t let you down when that craving hits in the middle of the night.

From time to time, we should take a well deserved break, sip some kopi, have some toast and just watch the world goes by. One such place that I will recommend is the iconic Tong Ah Eating House that serves some pretty darn good quintessential coffee and toast, or you can call it the Chinese "brunch" to make it sound cooler. The art of making coffee though the sock and scrapping off the burnt bits from the toast using the sharp edges of a milk can top dates back to many years and this practice is still being applied today at Tong Ah. No need for any eggs benedict, waffles or pancakes, you just need to order a set of crispy thin toast kaya or fresh toast with kaya, soft boiled eggs and a cup of kopi. After which, sit by the roadside table and appreciate the simple things that mean something. #hawkerpedia
