Korean
A little too thick for my preference
Price: S$12.9
It's like this place could do no wrong. Tried a new dish here and it's awesome! As if having a melting pan of cheese in front of you could be anything but. The chicken may be a little too spicy for some, but overall it's a GREAT dish to fight over among friends.
Price: between S$10-15
Honestly a hit or miss - but mostly hits than misses. They are very generous with the stuff inside the soup, and it will always be my go-to comfort food. There's an option to add cheese into the soup, and my life motto is #whenindoubtaddcheese, but I'd say that going without cheese is a better option just this once.
Price: S$ 7.80
This is all I ever wanted out of a spring onion pancake. VERY crunchy at the sides, chewy in the middle, and just the right amount of spring onion to keep it interesting.
Price: $14.90 per serving (min of 2)
Words seem unnecessary after this picture. Nobody questions a moat filled with cheese.
A little pro tip though: eat the cheese fast because once they turn off the heat, it hardens pretty quickly.
Is it just me or is it really this hard to find a bowl of jjangmyeon around here? I loooove jjangmyeon and Guksu makes decent ones, but I'm not gonna lie, this is not really as good as the ones that I tried from the streets of Korea. But if it's really this hard to find, I'm not complaining.
Dish: Soy Fried Chicken (mashed potato as side dish)
Priced at: 29sgd (with the chicken)
I am writing this before having any breakfast and it's totally killing me. This has got to be one of the best mashed potatoes ever. It tastes like CHEESE!!! Somebody teach me how to make this because I need this on a daily basis.
OMG why isn't this a big deal yet?? I know this is just wings and it tastes similar to the ones from Bonchon, but These. Are. Amazing. The meat is tasty and it goes right off the bone so you can maintain some sort of poise, and the skin is so crunchy that poise would be the last thing on your mind anyway.
Plus, they give you plastic gloves to eat this with and I'm a sucker for going all out and eating with gloves.
Dish: Chicken Galbi Rice (2 servings)
Price: 14.90 SGD (per serving)
Sometimes I would have one of those moments when I just stop and think about how blessed I am and I don't even deserve it.
This is that particular feeling translated in rice form. I can't believe that there would be fried rice, CHEESE, spicy stuff, and chicken all congregating together in a large skillet just for me. And whoever I'm eating with. But whatever.
Name: Japchae
Priced at: 11.90 SGD
Best japchae I have tried so far - and the feeling among my friends is mutual.
I don't get how seemingly unabsorbent noodles could have so much flavor.
