Japanese
Total cost: almost $100!
Definitely too expensive in my opinion, furthermore most of the food was made from starch. (Besides the prawn)
Ordered:
-Chocolate souffle
-Lobster... pasta
-Miam Miam signature paste w/ onsen egg
-Riz Au Curry (curry rice w/ souffle)
-YuZu pancake
Chocolate souffle was nice. But it's my first try of souffle and after trying this, I am not that into them, too soft! Sweetness was good for me though!
Lobster pasta... Where's the lobster? The sauce was nice but the pasta by itself didn't have much taste. Oh, and there's parmesan cheese!
Signature paste. The cheapest out of all 3 main courses and probably the best dish! It was simple, comforting yet delicious.
Riz Au Curry had souffle too! It was a really unique dish but I don't see how the souffle and rice compliment each other. They are good separately. The curry rice was literally just curry rice though.
YuZu pancake was a serious disappointment. The pancake by itself was kind of cool, being thick and crispy and soft in the inside at the same time! But the flavoring...I'm not a big fan of YuZu.
Overall, the atmosphere was nice and the staff were so friendly!
Wait was about 20mins?
But the food isn't what I will recommend.
A couple of talented Singaporeans decided that ramen can be served at hawker prices, $5.50-7.50 (you get more wontons the more you pay), and created this delightful version. Think springy wonton noodles coated in a garlic, ginger, onion-infused oil, beautifully meaty wontons, irresistibly oozy onsen egg, slices of tender melt-in-your-mouth chashu, and shrimp wrapped in strings of crispy potato. Phew. At half the price of normal ramen, it certainly doesn't compromise on flavour or satisfaction!
Featuring Tanuki's Truffle Yakiniku Don which was really tasty and for that price, it's practically a steal! If you can't afford Fat Cow's pricier version of beef don, this is quite a good alternative.
The exceedingly fresh amberjack, salmon and shrimp were arranged on a bed of ice in an interesting style. Befitting such high quality of seafood was a proper wasabi: the freshly grated sort.
