Best Desserts In Town
There are no words.
There are no words to justify the melting layers of crepe and cream in your mouth. There is no antiquated song or poem of love that quite captures the overwhelming feeling of finally finding that missing piece of cake in your heart. No. There are no words. There is only you and your yearning for more.

Being a dark chocolate ice cream, this is suprisingly creamier than bitter. Definitely something to spoil yourself with because dark chocolate's healthy, right?

Going straight to the point: BEST RAINBOW CAKE I've had so far.
I looooove the idea of rainbow cakes, but they're usually very dry. I Am..'s rainbow cake is MOIST - which if you think about it, is an adjective that sounds like HEAVEN to cakes but gross to almost everything else in the world. Huh.
The icing is really thick, creamy, and tastes like 80% cream cheese - which I'm totally not mad about. Pro tip though: dont try to save the icing for last like I did because it's going to be TOO CREAMY.
And it's such a big slice! No slice of cake is too big for me to be honest, but this has exceeded expectations. My inner unicorn spirit animal is pleased.

Ugh. So creamy and nutty and unpretentious.
Price: part of the S$23 5-course meal
All I'm saying is if you have an excuse to eat lava cake for yourself, take it.
Price: $6.90
The Little Fuji is the equivalent of those girls who don't look like they're even trying to look nice, but they're just so effortlessly classy and gorgeous.
The croissant dough is just the right amout of crispy and chewy, and the ice cream on top is light which ties up the whole thing together.
Overall a thoroughly unpretentious and enjoyable dish.

It's the perfect fancy dessert for a fancy french restaurant. I expected it to cost a bit more ala carte, but it's actually not overpriced given how good it is.
The pistachio flavor was natural, authentic, and light. I felt like a proper adult eating something non-chocolate for once with a name that sounds like what an adult my age would eat.
Seriously, it's good. 10/10 would recommend!
Price: 9SGD
It's hard to rate something when it has the audacity to call itself the G-Spot. People expect it to be - you know - orgasmic, and when it's not - even if it's actually really good - it disappoints people.
It took me a while to realize that it actually tastes like Ferrero. Even the crunchy bits are extremely similar to Ferrero's texture.
That said, given the experience of having a giant Ferrero (Why don't they make this?? I mean, we have giant Kisses) plus the dirty jokes that come with sharing it with friends - I think the 9 bucks is worth it.
While I like to proclaim myself as a lover of cakes in all shapes, sizes, color, nationality, ethnicity and world peace, I am frankly a bit hesitant to cheesecake because of those weird berries that they top it with.
The cranberry cheesecake from this place surprisingly blends in very well. Can't believe that cheesecake could actually taste great without Oreos.
Where: Cake Spade, Orchid Hotel, Tanjong Pagar
What: Nutella oatmeal brownie with ice cream
Price: 7.50SGD
Served warm topped with a huge glob of ice cream on top, the nutella brownie will melt in your mouth simultaneously with the vanilla ice cream in all the right ways.
Ok, so the warm brownie with the ice cream is not really an original concept, but nutella. Need I say more? Seriously though, the nutella and the outmeal MELTS in your mouth and it feels like it's giving you a hug after a long week of putting up with life.
On more practical matters, 7.50SGD is frankly a little too much. It's cheaper (4.50SGD) if you get it w/out the ice cream, but why would you even do that?
Overall, I think it's perfect if you want to reward yourself after a month of overtimes.
