Colour me festive, thats what I felt when i sank my mouth into this seasonal special at Fatcat.

Gingerbread waffles, you swept me off my feet. You are a genius creation and every bite of you was just mouth after mouth of Christmas. You were paired so well with the cinnamon powder and the tart cranberry sauce which reminded me of the staple cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving.

I have much to give thanks for savouring you oh so deliciously. And paired with the explosive Smoked Peppermint ice cream. No, you are not going to get the run of the mill Peppermint Choc Chip ice cream you see everywhere. The minute I sank my mouth into you, I immediately thought of "Spearmint", wonderful refreshing spearmint which evoked the Christmas spirit in me. No, you do not taste like toothpaste or Listerine. You are so much more precious than that, baby. You are a genius creation.

1) Single Waffles with Earl Grey Lavender ($9.90):
The quality of waffles have definitely improved ever since I last visited in June. Very crispy, the insides were fluffy and aromatic from the buttermilk batter.

2) Double Waffles with Roasted Pistachio ($12.80):
Not a fan of Pistachio or anything nutty in general, but I can imagine this rendition of pistachio hitting the sweet spot of many pistachio lovers. Go on, try it, you are welcome.

Discovered this new grocery takeaway concept opened by The Lab (2 stores down The Lab).

Ordered this waffles which was recommended by the staff. At only $10, you get a full waffle with an ice cream. The waffle was airy and very fluffy, though it could be a little more crispy although I am definitely not complaining.

The waffles is sprinkled with generous amounts of cinnamon sugar giving the waffle a crispy crunchy kind of feel. The maple walnut ice cream was yummy with small bits of walnut inside. Though I am not a fan of nuts in general, I enjoyed it.

At $10 only, this dish is a steal. This place is definitely one to look out for. As this is a takeaway concept, customers can order here and proceed to The Lab to enjoy their food and drinks.

Indeed, Creamier lives up to its name. Like Sunday Folks, square waffles are also served here. I picked Honey Lemon Yuzu as I wanted a refreshing flavour for a hot hazy day.

Refreshing indeed, as the Yuzu and Lemon elements were prevalent, without each overpowering each other. There was a nice touch of sweetness too.

Waffles were crisp and fluffy.

The coffee game is strong with this one. Despite not being a fan of anything Tiramisu, I whacked this up single-handedly in 7 minutes.

Picked the recommended pairing of Baileys ice cream. It was fragrant thick and creamy with aromatic Baileys flavour. The waffles are not your atypical fluffy kind, but rather dense and crispy. Simply delicious. Special mention to the coffee beans atop the ice cream which was so crunchy and packed a great coffee punch, sealing the deal altogether.

Paired this with a hot Pearl of the Orient tea and the combination was lovely.

Virgin visit to Dessert Project turned out to be a very fruitful one.

Loved the variety of flavours offered but disappointed to find that their signature White Truffle and White Rabbit Candy flavours were unavailable. Nevertheless I went for their next hot favourite, Melon Parma Ham. Yes, small ham bits inside an ice cream.

To my surprise, the melon was totally refreshing and sweet whilst the ham bits were a little salty, a perfect marriage of sweet and salty. Such a unique flavour you won't find elsewhere. Matcha was rich and creamy without comprising on the bittersweet element of the green tea.

Waffles were extra crispy and fluffy. Drizzled with maple syrup. Delicious combination overall. Will return for their thick toasts.

Essentially a crispy and fluffy and chewy waffle, drizzled gloriously with maple syrup and slabbed with simple butter skimming its buttery glory on the almost perfect waffle, this reminded me of the first time i ate waffles a decade ago, and why i fell heads over heels in love with this simple dessert in the first place.

There is something so simply magical about butter and maple syrup that just works.

Chocolate waffle + caramelised bananas + vanilla ice cream + salted caramel sauce+ nutella truffle powder. Need i say more?

The chocolate waffle was aromatic with its chocolatey batter. I went for the fluffy souffle waffle base and boy was I impressed. Still crispy outside but slightly denser inside. Moist caramelised bananas were slightly solid and not mushy which I like. The crunchy nutella truffle powder provided a good crunchy texture overall. Highly recommended.

I am heartened to see that Montana's standards have not dropped since my last visit in February this year.

Served with butter, maple syrup and chocolate sauce, this waffle is anything but pedestrian.

I always like to order plain waffles on my first visit to any cafe to feel the rawness and originality of taste in every bite. Habitat's waffles lives up to its name, besides the awesome coffee it is known for.

The buttermilk fragrance is prevalent in each bite, together with the resonant crisp sound we are all so familiar with when indulging in waffles. The simple maple syrup and butter combination completes the picture. At only $5, this dish will make any person happy.

Heard many great things about Salted Caramel's waffles and ice cream. The ice cream lived up to its name, however that cannot be said about their waffles.

The waffles although crispy outside, was rather dense on the inside, the batter lacking any taste whatsoever. The waffles turned soft after awhile, and with the dense batter, it was hard to finish the whole waffle. Overall the waffles were really pedestrian, a huge disappointment given the hype surrounding it.

The ice cream on the other hand, was delicious. So rich was the earl grey tea flavour, the aromatic aftertaste lingering in my throat long after eating it.

Lives up to the hype as one of the best waffles around. Enough said.

Nestled in a quiet neighbourhood under a block of HDB flats, Holy Cow sells extremely affordable waffles starting at $6.50 for buttermilk waffles and a scoop of ice cream.

I had myself the charcoal waffles which was slightly more pricey with a scoop at $9.50. The Sabai Sabai caught my eye with its catching green hues and the fact that it is Thai green Tea flavoured. I previously tried the Thai Milk Tea flavour which blew my mind and this did not let me down. If only it surpassed the latter.

The green tea flavour was omnipotent but did not override the natural and raw tasting tea flavour of the ice cream. The essence of the green tea was so distinct and punctuated, possessing a subtly bitter aftertaste of the green tea whilst keeping the sweetness in check positively.

The waffles was delicious. Crispy and fluffy and oh so airy. The only gribe i had was that the waffle did not make me feel full. But that is so insignificant compared to how gorgeous tasting the ice cream and waffles were. 10 out of 10 will return.
