The Tonkatsu cutlet is made using a stack (14 to be exact) of thinly sliced pork. Coated with batter and panko, it is then deep-fried into a crispy steak that remains juicy on the inside.
This is definitely worth each and every calorie this dish has.
Available in 4 different styles, diners can select either the Lobster Broth Ramen with Clear Soup ($13.90), Lobster Broth Ramen with Rich Creamy Soup ($14.90), Miso Lobster Broth Ramen ($14.90, pictured here) or Spicy Miso Lobster Broth Ramen ($15.90). By going for the full works, you will not only get the quintessential pork belly, there’s also chicken char siew, black pepper prawn wontons, lobster balls, bamboo shoots and an onsen egg.
For this miso option, the broth is boiled with three different types of miso to give it a rich and flavourful stock. Unfortunately, it was too thick for my liking but fans of ramen with thick broth will definitely love the new creation by this famous ramen chain.
The bowl arranged with a deep fried large sea prawn lying across with vegetables below, won us over with its tasty sweet-savoury tendon sauce served separately.
Found at AMK's Jubilee Square Haru Haru. Another hidden gem!

Salmon with Cha Soba. This was really good in terms of the portion for one, just fits for one! And it's pretty affordable and tasty too! ($11.90)
It was an eye-opening experience when dining at Ginza Bairin with the long queues you usually see in the food hall. In my research of Tonkatsu in town, I have finally came across this and it's one of the most pocket friendly restaurant with a basic spending at their range of $20 & below for each pax to get a set.
Both of the combination has did a perfect dining experience. They don't carry much of a Japanese restaurant vibe but it's like an eat and go station at ION Food Hall.
Do try this Katsu Curry Udon when you're here!
Happy mid-week! 😋 #burpple #vivieneats
The rice is seasoned so well, yummy!
Roasted salmon wrapped around the sushi and the combination of avocado and crab stick. No wonder this is easily one of the signature dish! Fall in love almost after the first bite 😍
