Wake Up For Brunch

Ordered all our favourites! Sadly the yam cake wasn't very yammy today, but more on the starchy side. Felt like a bit too much rice flour. Hmm 🤔 Popiah was still as great as usual with their handmade popiah skins! And that rich anchovy soup with their freshly fried sides! 😋 Just a simple Saturday brunch w the boy!

I think I'm the only one that would wake up earlier to go out for breakfast. Traits of a glutton or a true foodie? Have been craving their otah thick toast for quite some time now. Love their thick fluffy toast that is topped w spicy otah. Otah is a little fishy today but I guess just be real stuff. Also, please ignore that lipstick mark. Happy Friday everyone!

Finally got to try this place. I must say the food here is just as good as how I imagined it to be! Sweet potato fries w salted egg yolk sauce. Where the sauce is super salted eggy. I actually finished it 🙊 The beef w grains was very interesting since I've never had orzo grains before. A bit starchy for my liking but I like the beef and the egg! The fried chicken tasted like har cheong gai! Love the fluffy waffles that was neutral in taste rather than sweet. Yum

Today's brunch situation. The burrata got attacked before anything else reached the table. Look at that glazing bacon and those grilled cauliflowers 😍

Woke up early for breakfast today!! There was still a long queue at 900 though! Traditional delights :)

On first glance it looks like fu rong dan with smoked salmon on top. But I got to love the generous serving of big prawns, scallops and salmon! 😋

Just a simple warm breakfast before I start shopping on a rainy off day. :) Got a mocha and a mushroom & mushroom quiche. I love the quiche! I like the crunchy crust and the cheesy eggy mushroom & egg feeling. The mocha was more like hot chocolate than coffee, although it's quite nice if you drink it as a hot chocolate. Haha. But they actually gave me another cup when I mentioned that. So thumbs up 👍 for good service!

Today is their last day operating at ION Orchard! Was torn between the croquet madame( toasted ham & cheese with baked truffle eggs) and this. But decided to have this since I can make my own truffle eggs. 😝 really tasty, though it had a little too much mayo inside. I liked the amount of chicken, spinach and mushroom inside. My friend ordered the exact same thing and had more stringy cheese, a little inconsistent in quality here. But still pretty good.

This is how I like my brunch :D
