The sourdough bread is toasted to a nice crisp. Walnuts added inside add a nutty taste to the sandwich. The green apples help reduce the fishy smell of the salmon, not that it was very fishy to start with. Delicious!

Already drawing comparisons to the popular Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters, Boufe Boutique Cafe is primed to be the next big thing in the cafe scene. Situated within Phoenix Park in the Tanglin area, Boufe (the word a portmanteau of "boutique" and "cafe") shares a space with a boutique called Ohvola. The usual brunch fare such as Eggs Benedict, Brioche French Toast and Croque Madame are served, but you should really try the Boufe's Big Breakfast or "Triple B". Boufe also serves pastries and offers a dinner menu. Be warned -- given the quality of the food and the killer combination of spaciousness, chic decor and a warm ambience, this place will only become more popular with time.

Fans of Monocle would be delighted to know that a brand new Monocle Cafe and retail store just set up shop in Holland Village. Located in the very residential Jalan Kelabu Asap, you can look forward to enjoying a great cuppa brewed with La Marzocco beans from New Zealand’s Allpress, and flip through copies of Monocle in their outdoor garden space. It's easy to miss, but for chill vibes and one of the best long blacks (according to Burppler Eileen Ong), it'll be beneficial to keep your eyes very peeled.

There's something for all taste buds and seriously, all the desserts here are good – they're made by the people behind the acclaimed Windowsill Pies, so I'm not surprised. My personal favourite is the Passionfruit, Mango & Coconut Chiffon Cake, so light, refreshing and incredibly light that it had me diving back in again and again and again.
Chocolate fanatics can OD on the Cacao Barry Chocolate Truffle Cake, which is insanely Rich (emphasis on capitalised R); those who like surprises will adore the Butterscotch Arabica Choux, a crusty pastry with a core of comforting butterscotch and chocolate, topped with coffee cream; the Strawberry Pistachio Rose Tart is just so unique and well-balanced with each of the three components blatantly present in flavour; the Twice-baked Sourcream Cheesecake is a nice compromise between the rich New York bakes and cotton-light Japanese variety.

With their flagship stall located in the depths of Pasarbella at Turf City, Dutch Colony has kindly opened up in the East for all east-siders to enjoy. Besides serving consistent, great coffee, this Frankel Ave branch also has an exciting menu of Coffee Lab workshops. These include classes focused on barista appreciation, latte art, coffee degustation and food pairings. You'll want to head down to this absolutely stunning spot for a cuppa and some breakfst, east-siders rejoice!

Flexible service received at The Missing Pan. In the mood of having a plain sweet french toast instead of the usual sweet cum savory french toast that they serve and the server was flexible and quick-witted enough to suggest for the savory fillings to be taken out. Though i find the taste pretty normal, I was pleased with the service offered.

TFBB champion breakfast with chicken sausage ($24) - comprises of eggs ben, some beef, roasted potatoes, mushrooms. Portion was just right and it tasted decent. Jus Prawn Pasta ($20) - I kinda like this. Not too heavy on the palette. It's like tomato and carbonara sauce mixed together, I kinda like it. Prawns were fresh as well. Apple cider pancakes ($11) - good taste (but I still like CMCR ones better) but a little too dense. Coffee wise, meh.

A luxurious rendition with the fluffiest, eggiest toast unabashedly soaked with maple syrup and topped with a pad of hazelnut butter (my favourite part). This is my third time having it and i still think it's the best french toast in town.

How sensuous it was to dig into the hot pan of thick, creamily oozy Provoleta cheese with chunks of assorted fresh Pan (house-made Argentinian breads, of which my fave's the round onion roll). I found the combination of the warm savoury cheese, sweet honey and sliced almonds remarkably delicious. This is a must-order at Bochinche.

Back for brunch at one of my fave place! Ham and cheese toasties / Banana bread / Pimp my breakfast ( sour dough, avocado, poached eggs and salmon)! So good and satisfying. Love the cappuccino and latte 😍😍
