SMU LoavesMe opened their doors yesterday with both takeaway and dining option! From now till 31 Jul 2015, all drinks are going for one-for-one! Who can say no to Thai Iced Tea that cost less than SGD 2?

Thai Iced Green Milk Tea/ Thai Iced Milk Tea (U.P. SGD 3.90) - We preferred the Thai Iced Green Milk Tea which was richer and slightly sweeter. The tea scent was distinct and did not linger in our mouths.

At this one week old joint where you get to unleash your creativity and create your own slushie. So how does this work? 2 liquid will mix and create a huge mess. So the owner separate the 2 drinks with a fruit puree in between to create the multiple layers. The fruit juice seems abit on the sweet side so I will still prefer mixing fruits and tea instead.

At another 1 week old joint in Scape where u get to customise your own slushie. Love the splash of colours with a mix of mango juice and black tea to balance the sweetness of the fruit juice. This is probably what a fruit tea tastes like?

Taro latte in The Lab - this 4-days-old NEW cafe had taken over the space that 7th Cylinder previously resided in. Distinctive taro taste but a tad too milky.

The green milk tea is my fav one here among other drinks. Sweetness is not overwhelming and the texture of the drink is smooth. Coupled with ruby for another $0.70 to try it out, I regretted the decision as the tapioca encasing the water chestnut fell apart and didn't taste that great.

A well balanced version of thai milk tea that is similar to the ones we can get in Thailand, this cup is pretty affordable at $2.50. The texture of this thai milk tea wasn't very smooth for my case, and was probably what you get when u soaked the tea leaves for too long.

One can never go wrong with this salted caramel popcorn toffee milkshake from Bécasse as slurps of this smooth drink goes down your throat. It is not too sweet and overwhelming for my liking and I can still taste both the popcorn and the toffee. And most importantly, it doesn't taste anything like a protein shake
