Have you ever just crave to have a little comfort food but it's not meal time yet. I truly recommend this laksa which is served in a entree serving size, just enough to curb that killing craving. The smooth thick vermicelli is eaten with a spoon. In that dozen spoonful, every spoon would just have ample gravy, vermicelli, fish cake, and fresh cockles (鮮蚶)! The gravy and cockle are perfect and the secret is none other than the hawker understands food is appreciated best when scarce. And at $2, it would not set you back too much on your lunch/ dinner budget! Claimed to one of the most authentic origins of this highly controversial street food. Who cares if it's from SG or MY, most important the hawker uncle has family helpers to carry on this street food heritage; so that we continue to enjoy this delicacy.
This is so perfect for brunch in bed. I reallyyyyy want to get well fast to eat yummeh food again! #latergram #baked #eggs #brunch #yummy #sgfood #sgcafe #sgigfoodies

the oozing of green tea served with a good vanilla ice cream.
Thanks to @sethluicious' post a couple days ago, I've got the craving for duck confit. The one I had last week at #babettesg would do nicely in my belly right now – meaty, with just the right amount of fat left under a skin crisped to golden-brown perfection. I'm not sure that Japanese rice is a good complement at all, but that leg of duck is blindingly good on its own.
this chocolate molten lava cake will do well. freshly made, it was super gooy and lava like. so much for healthy eat, this dish really got my senses jumping. probably a🙌🙌 3 to 4 hands. people who ain't a fan of oozing cake probably won't fancy this.
When it comes to fusion food, there usually are hits and misses. In the same way, Babette's take on French/Japanese cuisine works in some areas, but not all. Start with their irresistable Bacon Tempura, and choose from the better donburis - Chirashi ($19), Steak & Foie Gras($28), or Duck Confit ($28) for your main. For dessert, try the Matcha Lava Cake with ice cream and a red bean sauce ($12), and wash it all down with a beer / wine / cocktail!
Housed in Kam Leng Hotel along Jalan Besar, Suprette is a cosy restaurant that does great food. There's only one burger here: the Suprette Burger. Hidden beneath a toasted sesame bun is a huge, juicy beef patty with melted gruyere. You can (and should) add trimmings like balsamic onion relish (yes you should), bacon (yes you should), and mushrooms (yes you should). It also comes with a huge portion of free flow fries, but you probably won't need a refill! Note that the burger is $20 at lunch, but $25 at dinner.
