Desert Time!
Not an expert on describing deserts, but these cupcakes were moist and easy to swallow. They weren't too sweet and ugly either. Can't wait to try out the others! šššš
The abundance of peanut butter on the cake was so sinful but one needs to pamper themselves once in a while. The peanut butter taste in my opinion was acceptable and not too overwhelming! ššššš
"A gateaux of moist chocolate cake ,crunchy hazelnut praline with a coating of dark chocolate custard and chocolate glaze." A tad too sweet for me but nevertheless ššš
"A Chocolate cookie base with hazelnut filling inside and a generous amount of buttery hazelnut chocolate crumble on top.". Together with the hei ice cream it was an experience of a "song of ice and fire" It was pretty worth it as it was a dish by itself around $12 for such quality and quantity.
Didn't have the chance to eat the original one at Melaka but my fren said that this was pretty similar too! (The green slimy chendol was specially good!)
A 55 year old recipe for their chai Po, along with a really good chili, makes this cheer Kueh really different from the rest!
Haven't paid a visit to awfully chocolate since enlistment. Now that I'm no longer in green, they have changed much, they have opened up so many branches overseas that their chocolates can be found in 7 11s abroad. Though it's a little pricey at $8.90 for a cup of hot chocolate, the quality is there. Even when you eat their cakes with their hot chocolate, you can still taste the distinct flavors in them. Compared to other chocolate serving cafes, I still think awfully chocolate is one of the best ones out there!
Im not the desert type kind of guy... Sometimes I find some deserts too sweet , however this special desert (first time eating this), had a balanced taste to it, it was sweet yet not overwhelming , coupled with the vanilla ice cream, it was really a satisfying experience.
