Best of Geylang
Booming with people, this place is best known for their claypot, but sadly I think I have eaten better ones. The chicken is tender, with good amount of lapjiong , salted fish and veggies, this pot is yummy enough but not overly amazing. They have side dishes which are pretty good. Not a bad place for claypot. But definitely there are better ones.
By far, it's my favorite handmade noodles place. That small saucer of chili is so awesome, with that enough kick without killing the other milder taste. The eggy soup is done right, that it will be gone is a second. And those noodles, that consistent texture, firmness and smooth dough.. You can't help but to smile with every bite. How rare to have noodles made by hand (especially Mee Hoon Kway), where everything is all about convenience. YAYNESS to hawker fare.
This hawker outlet simply have the best on this street. Never disappoint, yet. And don't planned to jinx this place. 😋
Wet enough, and those crazy prawns are huge! This plate for two don't disappoint! The slight wok hei add extra taste to this already beautiful dish. This plate, is cooked fast, cooked well, and definitely worth the dingy place that it is in! Geylang, how can we not love this place.
Ate the outlet in geylang. And I am blown away by the soup. Full-bodied and thick, with a good dose of herb to kill the strong mutton smell. Comforting when it's a raining day. And the set for 2, have good portion of every part of the lamb imaginable. Yums!!
The soup is light, not full-blown enough. But this dish is comforting with good balance of prawns and pork bones. Huge prawns to make anyone happy. And let's thrown in the egg for good measure. Thumbs-up for geylang, once more.
Chanced upon this hidden gem, while driving past. We saw the huge flame dancing around the food, we just had to stop. And we are in the food heaven! Fried to perfection, with a slight charred taste, we know that we made the right decision.
Came highly recommended by the servers who insisted on us having this dish over their fame Assam fish head. And boy it's good, fresh big grouper head with flavorful broth steaming and bubbling. Gosh, I am drooling just thinking of it.
Cheap good and flavorful. Seriously this simple dish win every top-notch restaurants in Singapore hands down, with it's thick broth that is tasty to the single last drop.
