No introduction required. You guys know it better than I do πππ
Egglets topped with chocolate sauce, crushed nuts and fruit loops (you can choose your two toppings which also included fresh fruits such as kiwi, mango, blueberries etc) with soft serve (vanilla) drizzled with your choice of sauce, mine was salted caramel (they also have black sesame, cookie butter etc). Photogenic but no wow factor, I would rather have better than your BF churros next door or walk a couple more steps to llaollao. That being said, it doesn't taste bad -- I finished everything ππ
Someone plzzzz tell me I'm not the last one to find out about truffle ramen?!?!!!!! Chanced upon this ramen stall 4 da 1st time and I'm in luvvvvv. Was on my way to have some photogenic looking hvala when I chanced upon it -- saw truffle ramen and I knew that I HAVE TO HAVE IT. So yup, the truffle ramen is served dry and with sliced truffle from Italy ($16.90), I added an ajitama (egg @ $2), the truffle smell and taste was very distinct, noodles was firm and very qq πππ only down point was that it can get very dry so if they've like soup by the side, it'll be good!!! The flaming hot tonkotsu ramen with additional charshu ($14.9+$4) was spicy but i guess it overpowers the original broth so unless you really like your food spicy, go for their signature ramen (the next table was singing praises for it ππππ) The chicken gyoza ($5.90) fell short though, still like those from gyoza-ya best πππ OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT, THE CHARSHU IS DAMN GOOD, try it and you will know what I mean. Three hours post dinner and I haven't had another cup of green tea, guess they really live up to what they say about being MSG free.
Couldn't miss a 1-for-1 when it comes to food so I gave their beef cheeks tagliatelle and capellini crab meat a go and both were surprisingly tasty even though they look very boring. Very generous with their ingredients as well, good place to go during lunch time or during a day out with your friends
Gula melaka pandan cake - a little dense but flavor wise was good. Coffee still needs some improvements. Photogenic and super chill out place
$5.50 and I still don't get what's with the hype
Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city but don't wanna travel to too ulu places? Then this is the place for you. Only a ten mins walk from novena mrt, this is the perfect cosy place to chill out as you slowly enjoy your food and wile the afternoon away. Effort placed into the food is evident when your ricotta hotcakes came with passion fruit butter and Japanese tangy seaweed mayonnaise served with an open face tuna (steak, not shredded or canned food) and avocado sandwich.
Had my first ABC at Vivo and it was so good but this time it was a disappointment. The tart seems to have been on display for a couple of days (still ordered it cause I was craving fruit tarts) and it was wet and stale. The rest of the pastries were just okay (the croissants wasn't puffy and flaky at all and not buttery enough for me π’π’) and definitely TBB would be a whole lot better.
Pancakes with banana and walnuts ($14) / Kopitiam works ($8) (bottom right) / Slow roasted Hoisin Har Cheong Pulled Pork Mantou ($9) / Coriander Garlic Chilli Prawn Linguine ($17). FFT has gotta be the most affordable cafe food ever and they actually do not shortchange you the amount of food. The Kopitiam works is a very good example when the comparison is made with an eggs Benedict that can easily cost ($13.90)
Tourte Saumon Epinard - eggplant, Parmesan cheese, green pesto and fresh tomatoes in a savory custard and a flaky puff pastry shell. Salad Crevettes Mangue - Batavia leaves topped with (frozen) prawns, mango, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. Crepe complete - turkey and cheese in a thin French pancake topped with a fried egg. Atas hotdog cheese baguette
Replacing the Garrett popcorn shop at the basement of Wisma is the famous ben's cookie from England (honestly, I didn't know they are famous until I googled, sorry if I sound suaku but people haven't been to England ma ππ) Anyways, they look and sound super good so I couldn't resist when I walked past it. Flavors I tried: Triple chocolate chunk, White chocolate & macadamia, Double chocolate & nuts, PB & milk chocolate, Coconut, Cranberry & white chocolate, Milk chocolate orange (how to resist when you hear this kind of combination?!?! There must be a flavor that'll definitely catch your attention right?!?!) A box of 7 cost $14.75 (buy 5 get 2 free). The cookies are super duper soft with truckloads of fillings, I love the fillings and flavors but it can be a little too sweet towards the end. ππ worth a try
