Only In Greece
This was taken at our wine tasting at the famous Santo Wines. Couldn't help myself by buying a bottle of their sweet Vinsanto 2005. BUT I'm missing laksa, bubble tea, chicken rice, nasi lemak more! To feasting when I get back. 😝
Before I fly back to Singapore, the one thing I will definitely miss about Greece. Loukoumades, as the shop is name after. The shop is near Tailor Made. They sell loukoumades with different toppings and fillings but we ordered the original with honey and cinnamon.
We chose this because it is the most traditional and has been serving souvlaki since 1879! You can see pictures of what I assume is the owner with famous personalities all over the restaurant. However, for me the meat was overcooked.
It was a cool coffee hangout! Just next to Monastiraki Square, on Aghias Irinis Square.
A tad salty but too much for is to finish.
Pretty decor with a loft like structure, floor to ceiling windows, beautiful lighting and cute decals. With also a TV playing the World Cup. Best of all, our meal for two including drinks cost only 11 euro!
Thanks for the recommendation @graciewho the honey and yoghurt combination is fabulous 👍 I had a small light yoghurt with peach and orange honey for 2.60 euro. There are four types of yoghurts for you to choose from and a variety of toppings.
You can find many restaurants and cafés along Dionysius Areopagitou. We are heading to the famous Fresko frozen yoghurt after this.
It's a pita with chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, fries and mayo wrapped in it.
It's deep fried dough soaked in honey, sprinkled with cinnamon and and sesame. This one came with vanilla ice cream. I love this! We saw it in a travel magazine but this is the first one we got to try. Hope to find it in Athens too!
It cost less than 5.50euro per pax. Such a great find! And they were real generous with the fries too 🎉 haha know it's not much but feel so happy. The place is opened 24 hours and they offer delivery from 1200-0200hrs. I had difficulty geotagging this place because the name is Greek and I can't find some of the alphabets. Here it is... Kαλαμάκι Mύκονοs, located in a square behind Little Venice, opposite another food outlet called Everest.
These two plates of pasta, one chicken and one calamari, cost 15 euro each. Pasta was al dente and portion was huge. Overall, pretty yummy!
