J.B. San Lou Meehoon. My second time trying this and I like it just as much as the first time. Apart from the squid and tentacles. š
Love the fried outer layer of meehoon most. This plate is perfect for sharing and even better to enjoy now in the new air-conditioned premises.

Even when the sun is blazing. A good place to have lunch before getting some work done in ARC cafe next door. *
Spent countless nights years ago eating here at 3, 4, 5am and honestly I never knew it was just across the street from Bugis Junction. š Guess the world seems much bigger when being driven around everywhere. š *
Guess this comes with everythingāFishballs, fishcake, tau pok, fish dumpling and the best thingā¦ the crispy fish skin! They give lots of pieces too, so it's awesome. Queues at lunch time are still crazy and it doesn't help that the process is rather slow from ordering to picking up the food. But it tastes good, so if you're willing to put up with the 20+ minute waitā¦ š
Slurp it up~

It's nice to try out little places unknown (to me š). This was nice, not a huge fan of meatballs, but the meatballs here were rather delicious. The Korean mushrooms are supposed to be popular too, but maybe I eat too many mushrooms in general so I didn't find them special. Love eating YTF cos can choose the ingredients you like and this seems like a really affordable meal along Orchard road.
Perfect start to the day.
Lucky I didn't have to queue for this. The snaking queue can have 20+ people waiting in line during lunch time. You can choose from a range of options like seafood, mushroom, shredded chicken, and fried fish dumpling horfun from $3.50. Plus the sauce is made using herbal ingredients like wolf berries, which can be good for health. As usual, my plate has extra ingredients cosā¦ #EleGlutton.

My bowl has extra Fried Wontons cosā¦ greedy.
This Ah Liang Ipoh Dry Noodle store was opened after high demand at the Ah Liang Ipoh Horfun store just opposite the aisle. The queue at the horfun store can have over 20 people queueing at any time, so get in early to avoid the rush or go in after 1:30pm. However, they only open till they run out of their delightful gooey horfun sauce, so you'll have to take a chance going in late. The dry noodles have a dark sauce base which I found really delicious and the store opens from about 9:30am till about 1:30-2:00pm. The store usually has quite a queue too, so it was interesting observing the local crowd as they exclaimed "usually the queue for this is really long" and promptly jumped in line. You can get FoodThru app and pre-order your noodles for pick-up if you're in a rush for lunch.

Amazed by the efficiency of technology (even if the stall owners don't really know what they signed up for), you can pre-order your food for pick up and beat the queue through FoodThru app which is great seeing the queue has more than 20 people queueing at times. And you'll be able to order through @hawker.today app too (when they actually add the listing to the app so everyone can place orders-can't wait! ā logo sticker for the app is already displayed at the store š).
