Young Hawker's Good Food
If you love HK styled wanton or soya sauce chicken mee / rice you should try this new stall at Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre. I had the soya sauce chicken the other day and it’s good. Today this wanton mee ($3.50) didn’t disappoint at all. Noodles are the QQ type and wanton(though not as big as those from HK) is still a good size taking up more than half the spoon. Plump and juicy with prawn and pork. Yummy. The added chicken feet ($1 each) is very well braised, soft and tender skin comes off easily at bite. Yummy too! So if you’re living nearby or happen to be around this area go try it.
This young hawker is doing well considering the stall is at least 1/2 years old. The ingredients are fresh, sambal chilli is not too spicy and intensity of the soup is just right. Pig tail is cooked well and melt in the mouth. Overall it’s a good meal. Price ranges from $3.50 to $7. Closed on Wednesday
A young hawker making delicious bak chor mee. The noodle is well mixed with sauces, vinegar and sambal chilli to create a flavourful bak chor mee. All ingredients are fresh and yummy too. Prices are very reasonable too. It ranges from $2.70 for small, $3.50 for medium and $4.50 for large. There’re also choices to add extra ingredients. Opens 7 days a week.
What make a good prawn noodle? The mixture of the noodles (dry) the taste and quality of the ingredients and the soup of course! This young couple sell a good prawn mee (though a bit pricy in a Food Centre) the quality is definitely worth it. Oh there’s also lard bits for you to take as much as you like. Yummy yummy yum yum yum!
A new stall in Tiong Bahru Market. Young couple sell delicious choice of Briyani or butter rice and choices of sambal, rendang or fried chicken. Tender chicken drumstick and lots of sauces given. The vegetables (lady’s finger or achar) are just as delicious.
Adding a new ingredient is never easy. Yet this young hawker has gotten this dish right. Soft and tender is the key to good pig's tail soup and it's really yummy yummy yum yum yum. 👍👍👍
I wrote about this young hawker stall and revisit to see if the standard is still there. Yummy yummy yum yum yum! Yes it is and he even added pig's tail noodle which is a great addition.
Definitely better than most other wanton mee stalls in Alexandra Village Food Centre for the quality, taste of both roast meats. The noodles are crunchy and tasty. Remember to ask for the kind of char siew you want as the young couple will do their best to please.
For $3.50 you get 3 medium sized prawns in the noodle plus a packet of wet tissue too. Taste wise is good. Value for money. You can add in pork lard bits provided free. My dry mee is well mixed with good chilli sauce. The soup is great so if you prefer soupy version you can add the chilli power provided free too. Run by a young couple it's really good food.
This new stall at Amoy Street FC sells good fishball/meatball noodle. Both fish and meat balls tasted good and freshly made. Handmade too! Yummy yummy yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 November 17

At stall 137 in Chinatown complex is a young man who's honing his skill in doing a good Hokkien Mee. The sauce and ingredients are good. The sambal chilli is spicy and goes well with the mee. Overall it's a tasty dish and has value for money. Yummy yummy yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 September 5
