Junkfood ๐๐๐
Pretty decent. Wagyu beef patty, applewood smoked bacon between brioche buns with cheese.
Hailing from Taiwan, Devil Chickenโs XXL fried chicken can now be found in my hoooood! (For Westies, theyโre gonna open soon in Jcube too!) Wee bit expensive but definitely one of the best around so far. The chicken was so thick and very juicy! Sweet-savoury, the batter was crispy. My only gripe is possibly the inconsistency of it but thatโs just nitpicking.
Had it too many times in a week and I think the spicy one might be nicer. But Iโll have to try again to determine ๐
Generous mountain of golden, super crispy truffle fries with loads of parmesan - havenโt had this in a loooooong while but theyโre still good!
Fluffy soft buns, generous toppings of egg mayo with subtle whiffs of truffle!
Not the best around but a decent option for a quick bite and itโs affordable! The buns were not as fluffy as Iโd have liked, and beef patty was a little inconsistent - my friendโs patty was dry while mine was slightly overseasoned for some parts, but I generally enjoyed it with the aged cheddar, truffle mayo and juicy sauteed mushrooms. Portion might be a little small for some so just add on fries. Had wanted Mentaiko but they were out of it so we got the truffle fries, also decent and nicely crisp but it was just drizzled with the truffle mayo (not what we had expected) and the flavour didnโt quite come through.
Super addictive crispy tater tots! Go for the Okonomiyaki ($12) - generously lathered with kewpie mayo, truffle dressing, unagi sauce (more like umami) and furikake. Didn't taste like okonomiyaki but it was definitely delish.
The other option would be the truffle cheese ($11) - I love truffles but felt that it was more jelak probably because of the decadent truffle sauce; than the Okonomiyaki which I couldn't stop popping them into my mouth!!! ๐คค
Addictive thick-cut fries drizzled with sweet peanut butter and bacon bits that remained crisp for a long time!
Apparently the egg and plain one isn't as good as last time (not crisp enough) but I always go for the buttery, sweet and crisp on the sides prata bom (but G's dad said it's for kids ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ) all that's missing is my fav milo dino
Thank you @cweizhi for the heads up! This msg-laden shiokness goes right to my mini desk-pantry at the risk of ruining my friendchip with my desk buddy who complains about how i keep bringing food and plumping her up but hey it's crunch time with our piling reports.
Junk food day with this Mini Double Bypass Fried Rice ($22.80) - 200g of considerably tender and juicy New York strips, half spring chicken and heart attack fried rice (simple but flavourful with black sauce), served with a garlicky sweet homemade chili sauce that went well with the different components of the dish.
Blanketed generously with three types of cheese - gruyere, mozzarella and Parmesan, topped with smokey pepperoni, this is my idea of the ultimate comfort food. My heart skipped a beat when I dipped the fries with all that melty gooey cheesus into the savoury house-made bacon ketchup - can I have a day of snuggling with this, a good movie in bed (gon' be messy but a girl can dream and the Monday blues is real)? This may not be what your body needs but here at @alteregosg they know what your heart wants. Yes, PIZZA FRIES, you've got a pizza my heart โฅ๏ธ

Thank you @chocolatetbasil & @alteregosg for hosting us and #burpple for the invite!
Yay to the recently opened Eighteen Chefs at the new wing of Downtown East! Not the best baked cheese pasta around but not too shabby either - this crazy sinful dish was quite shiok, they're generous with the portion and gooey cheese. You can easily build your own double cheese baked pasta/ rice of mozzarella and nacho cheese, choose from the many sauces/ broths and ingredients. Very substantial and pretty value-for-money starting at $6.40 and $7.40 onwards for students and NSmen respectively and it comes with drinks and ice cream.
