Lian He Shao La Fan (Amoy Street Food Centre)

I was feeling pretty hungry at dinner time, so I decided to get myself a plate of roast pork and char siew rice ($4) from 联合烧腊饭面 on the 1st floor of Amoy Food Centre:) The charred bits of the char siew and crispy pork skin were on point, and the meat was juicy but not greasy👍🏻 The sauce was on the sweeter side, which turned out to be a great match with the vinegary chili sauce - I literally finished every drop of chilli in my saucer🤤 Overall, this is a pretty decent plate of 叉烧烧肉饭!

The char siew and roasted meat were dry and tasted average, with the latter faring better for its crackling skin and fattier cuts. The rice tasted slightly better with the sauce drizzled over it.
