Have found out about the recent opening of Koffee Kollective fairly recently; Koffee Kollective has joined the leagues of establishments like QYLS Coffee and Ought being hole-in-the-wall establishments that specialises in specialty coffee that had opened their doors in the heartlands. Koffee Kollective is located at the foot of Blk 57 Upper Changi Road; itself occupying a tiny space of about half the size of a typical shop unit there. One can easily find Koffee Kollective situated right beside the outlet of the local bakery named Bread Code; another landmark within the same neighbourhood would be The Marketplace @ 58 being the market and food centre there. Considering the size of the establishment, Koffee Kollective is an entirely takeaway operation; there is no dedicated dine-in area within the establishment here. Koffee Kollective’s menu is pretty simple — the menu comprises of both a line-up of local-style Kopi as well as espresso-based specialty coffee; there are also some non-coffee beverages available here which includes items like the Aussie Milo, drinking chocolate and matcha.
It could be due to our recent obsession with Gula Melaka in our cuppa; we decided to opt for the Gula Melaka Latte during our visit to Koffee Kollective rather than to settle for the usual Latte. We found the Gula Melaka Latte to be decent, though this probably feels more like a casual cuppa than one that is for those looking for a perk-me-up with a strong caffeinated kick — the Latte from Koffee Kollective does feel a little bit on the milkier side; probably a cuppa with a light body carrying a nutty and earthy flavour profile. The addition of Gula Melaka is pretty well-controlled; gives a bit of sweetness to the Gula Melaka Latte but isn’t particularly heavy-handed — one definitely could detect the very soft earthy sweetness in the finishing notes of the cuppa. With prices of its offerings ranging from $1.90 for its local-style Kopi to $5.70 for its Biscoff Latte, Koffee Kollective does offer coffee for all; the prices can also be described as accessible for most — a spot that residents around the area might appreciate having to their convenience.
