A bit pricey. The total for two amounted to RM85+
The burger was okay. Worth trying. I think I loved the fries more than the burger tho. Milk shake was okay but presentation could be better seeing as they're charging Rm13 per milkshake.
KGB may breathe the vibes of an American fast food joint, but really, it's a gourmet burger restaurant at heart. The small, diner-like space is great for quick lunches with a colleague, but the speedy service makes it even better for takeaways back to the office β where you can take your time to savour the burger. Skip the chicken options, as these guys handle their beef with more finesse. The Truffle'd Swiss (RM21.90) is luscious, featuring portobello mushrooms, swiss cheese and a striking truffle fragrance. Find this in the menu for grilled beef burgers, which sees patties grilled to juicy perfection. If you like your beef with a little sear, have it crust-seared like in the KGB Spiked (RM16.90). This signature burger is packed with beef bacon, cheddar cheese and a sharp, spicy sauce to boot. Make it a meal for an additional RM5.90, which gets you a drink and their flavoured fries β opt for the umami-packed spicy Cajun or kimchi.
Avg price per person: RM20

When a long Friday lunch is in order, gather the colleagues for burger and fries! An expert at dishing out delivery orders, KGB makes delicious gourmet burgers earmarked by the fresh brioche buns hot-stamped with the acronym KGB, which stand for 'Killer Gourmet Burgers'. The menu is concise, carrying a handful of selections for beef, chicken and portobello mushroom patties, with no shortage of sides. Since you're already splurging on the calorie count, go all out with a robust KGB Spiked (RM16.90). The name's a nod to the addition of signature KGB spicy sauce, and the burger's available with either a beef or chicken patty, though we're convinced the grass-fed beef goes better with the crispy beef bacon and sharp cheddar trimmings. Fries are big at this burger joint, with interesting flavours like herbed, malt and vinegar and spicy Cajun enticing you to make it a meal (additional RM5.90 for fries and a drink).

I made a list of KGB burgers for me to strike out, and so far, I've only cancelled out a few. I regret, I need to cancel out more.
I wanted something with chicken chop kind of patty, hence this. It had cheese (obviously) and some vegetables in it. Lettuce, mostly. I still hate vegetables.
There was also the chicken wings skin with hot sauce in it, and egg salad. Did I mention the chicken was parmesan crusted? π
There's nothing more fun and real than sharing sloppy burgers with your date, and KGB's Killer Gourmet Burger stands out for their utterly delicious burgers. Take the classic route with The Shack (RM12.90) β choose from beef or grilled chicken, served with their special 'Shack' sauce, or throw all caution to the wind and go for heart-stopping creations like Bash (RM18.90), a truly stupendous burger of grilled beef, bacon jam relish, provolone cheese, caramelised onions and an interesting touch of maple cornflakes, or Hot Mess (RM18.90), fluffy buns sandwiching parmesan crusted chicken, hot wing skin, egg salad and buffalo wing aioli.
I like how Bash is topped with corn flakes. Besides the juiciness of the patty, that crunchiness from the flakes blends in very well.
I'm not a fan of vegetables at all so this dish was a miss with me. My friends who enjoyed it said it was very tasty.
Keep it simple and go for their no-frills cheeseburger called The Shack, a classic combination of smashed beef patty, cheddar cheese, and addictive Shack sauce. For a darn good spicy burger, opt for the The Bobcat, which includes the addition of green chili slaw and jalapeno mayo that's bound to make you swoon. To top it off, KGB serves a mean plate of kimchi fries - a heartstopping umami bomb you shouldn't miss!
[REPOST! Because I got the prices wrong. And I added some better reviews]
Sunshine Bella @ KGB Bangsar.
Finally able to try this gourmet burger.
Sunshine Bella is a vegetarian burger with grilled portobello, sunny side up egg and garlic ranch. It's a really nice and tasty burger despite not having meat! But imo, if you're at a burger stall, get their meat! Burger is meat! So take the meat! A little wasted I didn't try anything else. But was just too full after a lot of meat at Mikey's.
Overall, the mushroom is grilled nicely. Complimented with a runny sunny side up. YUM!
We ordered the set which comes with fries and drinks. I had the Cajun fries. The fries were crispy and thick but slightly too salty for me. Cajun dip was nice though! A little heat. Very nice. Wanted to get the famous kimchi fries but no one felt like kimchi. ππ
Next time, going to try their beef burgers and kimchi fries. No doubt!
I can't choose between KGB or burger lab because they're both equally amazing and unique. Let's just say they have their own specialties and we should try both. If you want fusion and geeky flavours, burger lab! Classic juicy American burgers, KGB.
Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (RM 14.90 without set. +RM 5.50 for a set of fries and drinks)
Jus tried out KGB burgers n its a must order for The Shack.. Bun is fluffy n soft, patty is well marinated with a slice of melted cheeze on top.. Chicken version not so impressive
I'm not much of an adventurer when it comes to food, but for some reasons, I always make time to try out anything salted egg yolk whenever I could. To KGB it was! I got this burger along with the fries, it was about RM26.
I felt like the burger was a bit too dry for my liking, maybe because I took medium well. Sure, there was the fried mac and cheese inside, but I think the salted egg yolk was not as visible as I wanted (and thought) it to be.
The fries on the other hand, did have the salted egg yolk taste. I liked it because I generally enjoy sweet potato fries. Still, I think I would probably stick to my usual order of Bash.
With that juicy beef patty with the right kind of doneness and that portion with the Swiss cheese that makes this burger truly enjoyable and Savouring every bite of that juicy beef patty! Pure happiness and that onion rings was really good; freshly made onion rings breaded and fried well with less amount of oil! Fantastic job! #kgbbangsar #kgb #burgers #bangsar #kl #happy #foodgasm #foodporn #burpple #burrplekl
My favourite burger from KGB. I mean, really. Just look at the cornflakes and cheese, especially the cheese. How do you resist that?
