The default soup base is Pork Bone 大骨. Other soup bases which come with additional S$3+ surcharge are Pumpkin 金瓜, Tomato 番茄, Mala 清油麻辣, Mushroom 菌菇, and Pig’s Stomach Chicken 猪肚鸡. Selected Pumpkin and Pig’s Stomach Chicken soup bases which was served in a copper hot pot yuan yang style with charcoal burning in it. Both soup bases were peppery and creamy in taste with the pumpkin version with a slightly sweet aftertaste.
The highlight of the meal was catching the live prawns in the tank with tongs. Each table will be given be a small bucket to put the prawns.
Wide selection of ingredients to select from. Seafood such as abalones, scallops, tiger prawns, mussels, clams were displayed on ice. Sliced meat as such as pork belly, beef, lamb were pre-plated, making it convenient to take from the fridge. Th instant noodles were in colorful flavours such as spinach, carrot and purple potato.
Help yourself to the drinks at dispensing machine. Don’t forget to craft a dipping sauce from the various condiments available in the condiment counter to accompany each steaming bite.
Dining alfresco style was quite cooling as there’s huge air coolers around. Ended with Mingo ice-cream where there’s Lychee, Lime, Chocolate and Strawberry to choose from.
