House Downstairs' Iced Mocha at Ulu Pandan Community Club hits the spot!
Velvety smooth, deep chocolate flavor, and a perfect balance of coffee and creaminess.
Stir, sip, and chill - a delightful pick-me-up!
Cafe is hidden within a CC at Ghim Moh. The cafe is generally a cozy place to chill at. We ordered Morning BB ($21), Rosti ($10), Iced White ($6) and Black Coffee ($4.50).
Morning BB was a tad disappointing. My plate was oily when I finished everything. The sourdough bread was a little too hard to my liking. You can request for butter, but jam is chargeable. Their tomato was really sweet though. Sausage seems to be pretty good quality kind. Rosti on the other hand taste good, but also a little too oily. Left the shop with really shiny lips:/
One thing to note is that their coffee is on the acidic side, which is probably not to everyone’s liking. I saw online that they offer other beans that are less acidic, May consider asking and requesting for those instead.
Generous serving of crayfish, prawns and clams for $22. Broth was delicious!
Pleasantly surprised that this came as a croissant as it was stated as a sandwich / toast on the menu. The croissant came with bacon, a sunny side up, mozzarella and aioli. Though the bacon strips were slightly too salty and tough, the croissant was quite nicely flaky. We preferred this out of the two items we had, but was still pretty average.
Recently did work in this bright and cute little space tucked in Ulu Pandan CC. While we found the food we had were average, the friendly service was fab! This sourdough toast had smashed avocado, cherry tomatoes, feta and a sunny side up, with a side of salad. Was hoping for a creamier smashed avocado topping, as well as a stronger tang on the sourdough.
Grab a Pain au Chocolat and an Iced White @housedownstairs to start the day.
While it isn’t downstairs at the HDB void deck but within the CC, this Scandinavia-style cafe makes a great addition to the West. Open every day, the menu consists of both Eastern and Western dishes.
