A cheesy sandwich that filled me up! I've liked going to Gee and Geek because their food does not disappoint! At RM13, I was satisfied with the generous portion and filling of the sandwich.

Food: 7/10 price: 7/10

Good people, great service and ambience. Very delicious food and coffee!

That’s what my first impression told me when the dish came out of the kitchen.

Spaghetti tossed with homemade creamy white sauce, homemade smoked bacon, grated parmesan cheese, topped with a poached egg.
Only two crispy pork strips on top and very minimal bacon in the sauce altogether. Pasta was not too bad. Creamy but a little bland. Would prefer if they did not dry up and stuck all together. Kudos to perfectly poached eggs though!

Food: 7/10 Price: 6/10 (RM22 – what a bomb for a small pasta. It’s already the price of the buffet I went at Kelana Jaya (Rm 19.90 ex. GST)

I was quite surprised at first when I found out this place serves pork (non-halal) because most cafes these days cater to all Malaysian.

Fried mantou buns served with pork belly, tangy som tam (Thai young mango and papaya salad). Quite a nice twist to usual cafes and having Asian fusion starters are a plus. Seeing so many good reviews about their pork bun, I must try it myself. I’m sorry for being the party pooper here because I honestly think it did not do its fame justice. Pork belly was only a square of pure fat in every buns, only bits and pieces of nicely charred pork. Pork belly has 3 layers, the fat and meat alternating. I only got the fats in every bun. Sigh

Luckily the fried mantou was not soaked in oil despite being fried. Every bite and squeeze did not ooze out with oil. Good job! The tangy somtam and sweet sauce brought this appetiser together with great flavour. It would have been better if the pork belly was equally ‘distributed’. Having this as a starter can be rather filling already since it has bread and meat in it. I was quite stuffed but addicted to the mantou. Still ended up finishing my share, knowing I still have a pasta and burger to combat through.

Food: 6/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 15 – G&G does not charge GST. At this price, you get 3 fried mantou with pork belly. RM 5 for each. Is it worth it? You be the judge. Toppings and fillings might not be consistent. Maybe you like pork fats? Or get better parts of the pork belly on your visit and have higher satisfaction then me. Then it’s all good!)

Not the best texture for a burger. My favourite is at Kissaten but the prices have been increasing and I have not revisited since forever.
Gee & Geek's burger tasted alright but it was nothing amazing to shout about. I am not sure if the white sauce is the cheese sauce or just a blab of mayonnaise. It didn't taste like anything delicious or bad. It was just very oily and soaked up the bun at the bottom, being very soggy. 😓 I kind of think this burger was made half heartedly because of the sloppy presentation and sloppy arrangement. Had to move the bun and adjust a little for a presentable photo! Mayonnaise was spreader quickly and messily on the bun. A layer of vegetables, lettuce, patty, egg, and very little caramelised onion.
Come on. Don't be stingy with the caramelised onions if you're serving a burger. The patty was seasoned fairly well. It not bad but it didn't impress me and I don't understand how a signature can be this mediocre.
A note on the side salad: Plain green. No tomatoes, just a dash of balsamic vinegar, and not fresh romaine lettuce. Was very disappointed when I tasted the greeny, old, and soil taste from the raw vegetable.
Food: 6/10 Price: 5/10 (RM 22 - I wouldn't recommend the burger for its price and the experience I had from eating this. It was a huge let down.)
