There's no dancing on tabletops this year, but you can still find great feasts and special Oktoberfest – The Greatest Beer Festival in the World – menus at these spots from now till October. Prost!
Brotzeit: Now to 25 October
Brotzeit has been celebrating Oktoberfest every year since its establishment in 2006, so nothing's going to stop their wonderful festivities anytime soon. Look forward to wait staff dressed in dirndls coming to your table to play games with you as you munch on special dishes like Roasted Pig Liver ($26), Cold Roast Pork ($16), and definitely the Giant Pretzel with Pork Knuckle ($23). As usual, Brotzeit has imported a seasonal Oktoberfestbier ($16) from Hofbräu, a Munich brewery that's one of six brewers allowed to serve at the Munich festival.
Frieda Restaurant: 1 to 31 October
Frieda Restaurant pays homage to its Bavarian roots with a free-flow ($55 per person) of yummy German grub, including mouth-watering Obazda cheese with Bavarian pretzels, German Weisswurst with sweet mustard, baked meatloaf with mustard, and grilled Nurnberger sausage with mashed potato and sauerkraut, apple bread pudding and more.
Burppler Daniel Food Diary particularly loves their Nuremberg sausage for its moderate spiciness and smokiness. You'll want to top up an additional $50 for four hours of bottomless beer from the tap – it's a festival after all!
Paulaner Bräuhaus Singapore: Now to 25 October
Celebrate the world’s largest beer festival with Paulaner's 1-for-1 Bavarian Beer promotions all day from Saturday to Thursday and until 7pm on Fridays. Their 'Oktoberfest at Home' boxes (from $88, think Cold Cut Platters, Sausage Platters, and Delicatessen Box) means you can now party at home with your friends and family or head outdoors for an Oktoberfest picnic, bottled festbiers included.
New Harbour x Iron Nori: Now to Mid-October
At New Harbour x Iron Nori, $99 gets you a heaping Oktoberfest Platter with Roast Pork Knuckles, a variety of sausages, meats, carbs and three pints of Erdinger Weissbier that's good enough to share between three to four people. 2.5l Erdinger Weissbier towers are also going for a low $52.
Burppler Rachelle Ng has great things to say about the meats here, including the crackling roast pork. "Super crispy skin and solid meat that's tasty without the gravy too!" Burppler Kim - The Foodie Deal Hunter agrees, saying this place is a "great find amongst all the Korean restaurants" in Tanjong Pagar.
Swiss Club: Now to 4 October
While a mega Oktoberfest party is no longer happening at the Swiss Club (trust us, they do some of the best festivities every year), you'll still be able to feast and drink on-site or do takeaways for their hearty Crispy Roasted Pork Knuckles ($32), Sausage Skewer ($22, includes Nurnberger, Pork, and Chicken Cheese sausages) and yummy German Pretzel Dumplings ($20). Wash them all down with pints of Erdinger Weissbier or Stiftungsbrau Lager ($14 each).
