On the way, I found an outlet of RotiKek which is a halal-certified bakery. Its cute name literally means Cake Bread. Anyway it was such a hot day and the scones were calling out to me. Super love how it retains some moisture inside so that it crumbles easily in your mouth with each bite

On a side note. How do you pronounce s-c-o-n-e? Scone (rhymes with cone) or Scone (rhymes with gone)? I've always thought that the former is an American pronunciation while the latter is a British pronunciation. But according to a Guardian article, both pronunciations are used in Britain depending on where you are located: "Those who rhyme it with gone predominate in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north of England. Those who rhyme with cone dominate in southern Ireland and the Midlands. The rest of the country is a mixture of the two pronunciations." . .
