Today lunch, I had white rice drenched with coconutty curry sauce, sambal goreng, rendang kambing, and sambal quail egg. I tried to be careful not to step on a landmine when paying, since my stomach was willing but my wallet was not. Unfortunately, I still stepped on it. =,=|||

Must be the mutton lah. Since I was craving it, I didn’t mind splurging a little. The mutton was chewy and a little tough, but the rendang paste was semi‑dry, moist, and clung to the meat well. It was flavourful too. Sambal goreng was the staple, and you can’t go wrong with it. I always love their sweet and spicy sambal that goes well with anything.
