This one will make you go #saranghaeyo! This is one of those places where you don’t know that they exist, but they do – and it is because they are located on the third floor of a mall that has very few tenants and stalls. The Gogi is one of the best and cheaper alternatives if you are looking for some Korean barbeque action! For $18, you can get two pieces of pork collar (you can roughly see the size of one here). It is usually the case where you have to order two portions of meat. However, if you have a group of 3 to 4 friends 2 portions of meat, plus other sides are worth it too!
Try the Kimchi pancake! It has a bit of seafood but the pancake is crispy and yet fluffy too. The barbeque meats in general are not bad when you wrap them in lettuce leaves and eat it in Korean style – all in a bite. Other notable items include the ramyun and other stew. But the barbeque is one of the cheaper alternatives I’ve seen around town. If you like naengmyun (or cold noodles), you can try it. But warning! – it’s just noodles, picked stuff, vegetables and an egg, but it is so huge you might want to share with a friend. This is really value for money and this will definitely be cheaper than other Korean restaurants around town where each meal you have to pay about $30 plus to $50.
