Honestly never noticed this family cafe before, even though it’s been around for a while now. It’s the first shop you’d see at the side entrance of Bukit Timah Shopping Centre and they serve up homely local fare. Chilli was very subtle and thought the black sauce lacked a tiny bit of oomph, but loved the texture of their handmade mee hoon kueh! It had the right amount of thickness with a good chewy bite, and not doughy at all in the centre. On top of the usual vegetables, meatballs and crunchy ikan bilis, they also add fried egg floss! Tried the fish soup too, but pity it paled in comparison.

My favourite handmade noodles in the area is still Top 1 Handmade Noodles for their you mian, but this is the spot we’ll be returning when the mee hoon kueh craving hits (and to try their bbts haha)!
