And if at times you're looking for good sushi at an affordable price, you can look to this shophouse at Joo Chiat where Jimoto Dining is dishing out an omakase menu with Tokyo-born Chef Takahiro Sato at the helm. He's formerly from Sushi Hashida and Melbourne’s Kakizaki. While there were some hits and misses in the omakase menu, the sushi here were very good. It's all about the curing of the fishes done edomae-style, and the dash of the right seasoning to bring out the best in the fish. They serve an ala carte menu too, so come for their sushi.
