Finally tried the legendary UBI BAN MIAN when I took a trip to nearby audio house to get my BTO house appliances!

I was confused by the way they serve their ban mian here. Why was the ban mian dry served in plastic bowls, and soups as well as ban mian soup served in red bowls? The only reason I can think of is they ran out of clean red bowls to serve so they decided to just use disposable plastic for the ban mian dry which is less hot. LOL is this the real reason ah anyone knows?

Anw, between this and the Lorong 32 ban mian, I thought they pretty much taste the same! But Ubi's minced meat portion seems less substantial or more minced so I don't really get to eat much in one bite. The chilli here is also different. The chilli here has less of the minced chilli paste, but more of the sliced chilli padi kind.

Overall, still a nice bowl of banmian to have if you do not have the option of Lorong 32 Geylang banmian.
